Story
The Qur'an, believed by Muslims to be the word of God, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad 1,400 years ago. It is the supreme authority in Islam and the living source of all Islamic teaching; it is a sacred text and a book of guidance that sets out the creed, rituals, ethics, and laws of the Islamic religion. It has been one of the most influential books in the history of literature. Recognized as the greatest literary masterpiece in Arabic, it has nevertheless remained difficult to understand in its English translations.

Story
Islam has been one of the most powerful religious, social, and political forces in history. Over the last 1,400 years, from origins in Arabia, a succession of Muslim polities, and later empires expanded to control territories and peoples that ultimately stretched from southern France to East Africa and South East Asia. Yet many of the contributions of Muslim thinkers, scientists, and theologians, not to mention rulers, statesmen, and soldiers, have been occluded. This book rescues from oblivion and neglect some of these personalities and institutions.

Men of the Bible takes a close-up look at 52 men in Scripture - complex flesh-and-blood characters whose strengths and weaknesses often seem strangely similar to our own. Heroes and villains, sinners and prophets, commoners and kings....their dramatic life stories provide us with fresh perspective on the unfolding story of redemption. Though our culture differs vastly from theirs, the fundamental issues we face in relation to God and the world remain the same. We still reach for great dreams and selfish ambitions. We wrestle with fear and indecision....

Two brutal murders and millions of missing dollars have led Castillo and his team to Uruguay, where the man they seek is murdered right before their eyes. Who is responsible? Most likely, the people higher up in the dirty-money chain, those willing to risk anything to keep their secrets from being revealed. They've left just enough of a trail, though, for Castillo to pick up the scent and to follow it wherever it takes him. He ends up...well, not exactly where he expected.

People are fascinated by the concept of royalty. The notion stirs up sentiments of love, admiration, and hatred. We see ourselves in them, and yet we criticize them at times with indignation. While most monarchies today have been put aside or at least limited in their power, the concept of royalty cannot be erased from human consciousness. In the words of Jesus, Christians pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven."

Pompey, Caesar, Cicero, Brutus, Antony: the names resonate across thousands of years. Major figures in the civil wars that brutally ended the Roman republic, their lives still haunt us as examples of how the hunger for personal power can overwhelm collective politics, how the exaltation of the military can corrode civilian authority, and how the best intentions can lead to disastrous consequences. Plutarch renders these history-making lives as flesh-and-blood characters.

Summary
A complete authoritative book on the life of Prophet Muhammad PBUH by Sheikh Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarkpuri. The Sealed Nector was honoured by the World Muslim League as first prize winner book. Whoever wants to know the whole life style of the Prophet in detail must listen to this audio-book.
Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him, are severe against the disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking bounty from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (fore heads) from the traces of prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurah (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, and becomes thick and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers, that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (Paradise). (Al-Fath: 29)
The Prophet Muhammad (S) said: "The example of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth. Some of which was fertile soil that absorbed rain-water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the rain-water and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilized it for drinking (making their animals drink from it) and to irrigate the land for cultivation. (And) a portion of it was barren which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then that land gave no benefits). The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah's Religion (Islam) and gets benefit (from the knowledge) which Allah (Azawajal) has revealed through me (the Prophet) and learns and then teaches it to others. The (last example is that of a) person who does not care for it and does not take Allah's Guidance revealed through me (he is like that barren land)." (Al-Mukarramah)

Horrible audio quality
The reason people buy audiobook to have a pleasant listening experience but so far I didn’t find any satisfaction at all why should I spend £25 and have a terrible audio quality.
The narrator had a strong American accent which I think international audiences would find more difficulty to understand.
Lots of echo in the background which I found particularly distracting.

Terrible echoing but improves as you listen.
There is a terrible echo, if you can bear to listen to it for two hours then eventually you get accustomed to it and it sounds less prominent. Thereafter, you can fully appreciate this fantastic book which gives a very detailed account of the life of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. I would recommend reading/listening to Tariq Ramadan’s ‘In the Footsteps of the Prophet’. It is less detailed but gives better spiritual guidance, ideas and perspective you would not have thought of.

Awe-inspiring
I love it overall. The narrator was audible and fluent as well.
The highlight of the book for me is at the battle of Uhud where the muslims lost men and ground because of the disobedience of the archers to the prophet's orders. However, my favourite part is the phase 3 of the life of the prophet, the conquest of Mecca and the dying days of the prophet - Emotional, Spiritual, Absolute leadership and evident sainthood!
I will have to do w 2nd listen In Sha Allah!

What did you like best about The Sealed Nectar? What did you like least?
The book is great, and the narrator is terrific, but there are several parts where the recording is damaged. It is inexcusable that a great book and reading performance are WASTED by unprofessional audio editing. The audio must be re-edited or the book should be removed from Audible.

Narration is terrible.
The narration is is almost unbearable. The narrator sounds like a circus announcement. I want to ask him why he cannot just read the book normally but instead he reads with great emphasis on every other word and it sounds terrible. I think it should be redone.

Terrible narration!
I wish I never downloaded this! A terrible narration of an otherwise wonderful book. Sounds like someone making an announcement for circus tickets instead of reading from a book. It's tiring to listen to. Unnecessary echo effect and monotonous recitation which emphasises every other word without it adding any value to the narration. He pronouncea the Arabic words correctly but lapses into American (Eye-raq and not Iraq). Just irritating and unlistenable. Wish I could ask for a refund!

Very Concise and Accurate
I have been studying Islam and specifically Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for a while now and I must say this is my favorite book which I also own in print and electronic versions as well. I loved listening to the book however, there are sections throughout the book that is defective as it slows and the voice of the narrator becomes demonic like and I had to skip those sections (hence my 2 stars for performance) but since I have the print version I can refer to my books. The book is a very detailed account of the Prophet's (SAW) life and gives an in-depth account of the rise of Islam. I recommend it for everyone but this is a book all Muslims must read.

Book is great, but Audible non-responsive
I loved the book. The reader enunciates very clearly and reads at a good pace. The book is 23 hours and 29 minutes long but near the end of the book, there is a section of about 8 minutes where the audio is corrupted. I informed Audible of this and they sent two emails to gather information but I never heard back. I guess they figure that 8 minutes of corrupted audio out of 23.5 hours doesn't warrant any response to their customer.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
The story is great, but the narration is horrible.
What other book might you compare The Sealed Nectar to and why?
Muhammad according to early source, it has a much better narration.
What didn’t you like about Bilal Abdul Kareem’s performance?
Narration just sounded like a person reading a book, and without any character.
Could you see The Sealed Nectar being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
