Summary
The Search for Broken Sky is a story of unconditional love, uncompromising friendship, and unassailable loyalty between a young Native American woman, her faithful dog, and a horse of legendary intelligence, grace, and beauty. While some see them as outcasts in a community already widely viewed as outsiders, it is their own commitment to one another that they cling to and hold most dear. When one of them goes missing, all of their hearts are broken. Yet, despite their shared pain, their unwavering determination to be reunited allows them to overcome the impossible odds stacked against them.
The journey will take them across the majestic beauty and untamed wilderness of Wyoming, following a century-old smugglers' route along the Bighorn River. Although the picturesque landscapes are reminiscent of the untamed west of the mid-1800s, after sunset, there are dangers lurking in the shadows, where men are not necessarily recognized as being at the top of the food chain. As their expedition takes them north toward Montana, they are unaware of the predator stalking them from the cover of night, and the showdown they will face on the search for Broken Sky.

Loved the narration of Diane Scanzaroli.
A heart warming story of adventure with each character having to dig deep for courage. It is full of friendship, and loyalty between a young Native American woman, her dog, and a horse with grace, and beauty.
A beautifully written book

Yet another great short story
A very enjoyable listen. Great story well written and expertly narrated.
The authors information at the end, sums up far better than I could the authors story telling skills and abilities, and I highly recommend people to look at his bibliography of various genres.
Yes I got given a free copy of this book in exchange for a review, but as other authors have found out I dont give out 5 stars unnecessarily.

Contemporary Fiction
I wish the narrator exuded more personality reading this book. I found her a bit like a documentary without the normal cadence and variations one would expect. The young lady she portrayed seemed to have a stuttering problem, not something normally attributed to someone with autism.
The adventures of the dog and horse were very interesting until people started ending up dead. That was a bit more extreme than I was expecting.
