Summary
The last time Esther Wilding's beloved older sister Aura was seen, she was walking along the shore towards the sea. In the wake of Aura's disappearance, Esther's family struggles to live with their loss.
To seek the truth about her sister's death, Esther reluctantly travels from Tasmania to Copenhagen, and then to the Faroe Islands. Beautiful & so very thought provoking.
This made me sob as of this knew the characters. Such a wonderfully written story and so easy to immerse yourself in.

Completely fabulous
I loved this book, it’s so different, fresh and vibrant. Feelings, sense of place, relationships all beautifully articulated. I was inspired, I laughed and cried - a lot.

Beautifully written
A book that I was so genuinely sad to finish because I was fully invested the whole time. Incredible characters, woven with folklore and rituals and tales of womanhood. the narration was also spot on. Will definitely be listening again.

Twisted tale of self discovery
A rich tale held together with myth and folklore. Showing how threads connect us together globally. Esters journey to discover who her sister really was becomes a self healing journey of friendship, community, love and enlightenment.
