Summary

Save them.

A crumpled note handed off by a sobbing woman in a restroom, a mysterious figure lurking on the golf course, and a dead body draped over their car set amateur sleuths Emily and Henry Fox on a shady course to finding a killer.

A series of recent "accidents" don’t make sense. Why did the owner of the spider web museum fall off a mountain? How was a woman with a bum hip electrocuted while crawling under her house? And don’t even start with the poisoned candy and illegally dumped fertilizer.

When more bodies drop, the stakes are raised, and the suspect list dwindles. Can the killer be stopped, or will the Fox family be written off next?

Nothing shady about this book

I loved this book. There is so much going on, with different so called accidents to investigate that I was hooked until the very end. The mystery was good and I worked out the motive, or should I say picked up on the clue tying them altogether just before the characters did and but it was only a guess who the killer was. It was nicely done and mixed in with with some home life drama to keep it interesting and you guessing what was going on. I really like the characters and at book 8 it's still a series and family that I look forward to joining again. I can't wait for the next book.
When Emily is involved in a hit and run, her daughter returns home to help out. Instead she stumbles over a woman crying in the toilets, she passes Maddy a note with a list of initials and says help them before running out. The next time they meet is there last because somebody has killed her. Emily, with time on her hands and the police busy with a high number of tragic deaths, tries to put names to the initials on the list. When a friends baby's daughter name is used Emily wonders if identity fraud is the answer? While searching she stumbles over something even bigger and deadly. Can Emily and her friends survive what she uncover and can she "help them?"
I like the narrator. She is pleasant to listen too and makes it an enjoyable listen.
