Summary

The goal of this book is to provide hope to apostates and to let them know that they are not alone. When I was struggling with my loss of faith, there were no organizations in existence to provide support. There are many who don't have the resources to connect with The Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain and their North American counterpart, because they are still very isolated.

This book is a way to open a window into the world of ex-Muslims that is still a mystery to most people living in Western countries. Due to this being an autobiography, it also has a lot of personal details that are not directly linked with religion. The progression to its goal is gradual, but like any journey, we find meaning in the details.

Eye opening, in so so many ways.

There was a lot of wonderful things about this personal story/novella that I enjoyed, the narration was great, the fact that the chapters were prose and poetry, very interesting and hard for the narrator to do. and I think she did a wonderful job in all aspects.

I am not world wide, nor do I listen much to politics for the UK or the world. And I think everyone should, because this opened my eyes to many plights that I didn't know about. And I'm sad about, but this is the sort of thing we all need to know, and understand and I'm so very glad that this is now out there. Do I live a sheltered life, yes, but without people like Sarah, to talk openly and Backy to narrate, I might never learn anything different.

Very good job, and the most interesting listen I've had... one of the hardest to listen to, but also the most personal. Thank you.
