Summary

Trapped in a nightmarish skyscraper and stalked by their darkest secrets, a group of office workers must band together to escape the malevolent plans of their new employer.

SiDug Tech promised to change the lives for a team of newly hired employees. Twice the pay of other firms, the ability to work from home, zero micromanagement, and incredible benefits. All that was required was to complete one week of training at their headquarters near downtown Tampa.

Beginning with their first day of training, the new hires quickly realize that something is wrong with this office. The place is plagued with frequent power outages, doors that lock on their own, and something sinister moving about…just above the ceiling tiles.

When they try to leave, they find themselves locked inside this nightmare building, lost within a labyrinth of cubicles and endless hallways, chased by the very things they hoped to never experience again. Soon, the lines of reality become blurred, and some of the darkest secrets they have buried in their minds long ago have somehow been resurrected by this cursed place.

But, if they want to escape, they will have to fight to maintain their sanity as they uncover the truth behind what their new employer has in store for them.

Enjoyed. Nicely written

I did enjoy listening to this. Well written an narration was good.
Can’t say a lot, as it would destroy the plot. But we’ll worth a credit. Will be checking out the authors other work.

Couldn't finish it

I really could not get into this book. I listened for 4 hours then gave up completely because the story did not improve. It plays out (initially at least) like an 'Escape Room' film with terrible characters trying to get out of a building. They see and hear weird stuff about their pasts and can't trust information they receive in the present. I mean one guy saw a 'live stream' where his girlfriend is cheating on him, just by looking at a coffee machine when he went to get a drink!

The author takes each character in turn and describes what bad thing they've done/experienced etc in the past. This took way too long. I just wasn't interested in the plot, the 'monster' nor the characters and I didn't care what happened to them either. Unfortunately I got bored & annoyed very quickly with this book, I couldn't wait to put it down & read something else. There just wasn't any believable creative content that grabbed my interest.

I was given this book for free of my own choosing and I voluntarily left this review.

KAZ🇬🇧😃 Total 💩

WOW 😳 what a load of absolute crap 💩 this book 📖 was! Gutted after buying this for £7:99 I feel absolutely cheated mainly because it's supposed to be a good horror story but it just bored me to tear's The only good thing was the narrator & some of the character's but as far as the storyline I thought it was awful sorry but that's my honest opinion

wow...

This is the only word I can use to describe this book. It's the best horror I've read in a long time, truly scary! A read I seriously recommend to any fans of horror. The lines between reality blur and I came out of this thinking wo, what did I just read? Claustrophobic and incredibly scary, the tention starts from page 1 and doesn't let go. I was lucky enough to get the Kindle version for free, thanks Amazon! So when it came out, it was quite simply a must have for my Audible collection too. Very well narrated to boot. Be warned, you'll never see an Ethernet cable the same way again!
