Summary

Indulge in this sweet summer romance bursting with small-town charm—an audio-first novella by New York Times best-selling author Emily March!

It’s peak tourist season in Eternity Springs, and Dana Delaney has her hands full running her ice cream parlor, Scoops. The last thing she needs is for her star employee to fall sick, but she’s in luck when a newcomer to town offers to fill in...and the fact that he’s sinfully handsome with a sexy Scottish accent is an added treat.

A-list sports agent Cal Buchanan is visiting Eternity Springs to scout marriage proposal locations for a client, not get distracted by the beautiful owner of the local ice cream parlor. But when she’s short staffed, he can’t resist the opportunity to dip in and help. If he plays it right, she might even return the favor and give him a tour of the town’s most romantic destinations.

Will their attraction lead to a romance more decadent than Scoops’ double chocolate toffee crunch—or will it melt away by summer’s end?

Sadly Narration was dreadful

Sweet short story
Dreadful Scottish accent - from a Scot disappointing to hear considering the main character of the story

Great story

Hope this will continue somewhere. The only annoyance was Scottish accent being mixed up a but with Irish. I only noticed as I’m a Brit.

Narration shocking

The story was ok for a quick listen but the reading - accent, tone everything wasn’t great at all!

The accents were horrendous

A happy and kind of predictable story but still a nice 3 hour listen. The only negative were the characters voices - I have never heard such bad accents, they could not decide whether they were Scottish or American, it was VERY annoying.

Light hearted clean romance if you can get past na

Light hearted clean romance if you can get past narration which wasn't great, why they chose to alternate between 1 male & 1 female narrator who were both pretty bad at a Scottish accent & not great at doing the other gender's voices I have no idea.

Otherwise a fun ,unlikely story with a tiny bit of action drama near the end.Similar to the Princess Switch movie, where an unlikely kind hearted woman gets to be pampered & have her dreams come true meeting a surprisingly single ,wealthy attractive man... with a little bit of humour & dialogue that isn't exactly what people would actually say.Very little dwelling on her break up with her ex,only briefly mentioned about 3 times, making it a light hearted escape, would listen to again :)
Better than a Box of Chocolates and A Vineyard Valentine have the same style on Plus Catalogue.

sweet story

I didn't expect to like this book based on reviews, and I never usually listen to short stories but thought I'd give it a go as it's free and glad I did as I ended up really liking it.
I'd say if you get hung up on accents and can't see past that then it won't be for you but I just forget about all that and just enjoy the actual story, which is a sweet bit of escapism
