Summary
I’m a kick-butt tracker. The best in the business.
Dead or alive, I find them. No one can hide from me, including people’s predestined mates. I can hook couples up better than Tinder. It’s my specialty. A year ago, I opened my own agency, and now that I’m finally looking out for number one, my bank account has regained its lost confidence.
So, when Jake Knight suddenly returns, determined to drag me back into the dangerous life I used to lead - the same one where ramen was a staple, and I became homeless - I put my brand-new Louis Vuitton boot down. He can take his hot werewolf self back to whatever hole he crawled from.
Sure, it sucks there’s a supernatural war brewing, and the werewolf I used to date has gone missing, but Jake won’t drag me back into that life. No way. He can fight crime all on his lonesome. I’m done with it.
Or at least that’s my goal until the attempts on my life begin, and I barely escape. Now, I have an ancient vampire on my tail and a hot werewolf reawakening our troubled past, and I must fight not to lose myself again.
If you enjoy K.F. Breene, Shannon Mayer, Annette Marie, Jennifer Estep, and CN Crawford, then prepare to enjoy a witty heroine and her rekindling romance with the hot werewolf who broke her heart. Step into the Mate Tracker Agency and find your soulmate.
This is an upper YA/NA crossover best suited for age 16+ since steaminess increases through the course of the series.

Disappointing
I'm afraid I really struggled to get through this book. Several times I debated putting it down, but my incessant need to finish things stopped me. I can say with little doubt; it was not worth it.
The story itself had potential, but I'm afraid it just couldn't deliver. My emotions (mostly pure, unrelenting frustration) makes it hard to put my mind straight to write a proper review, so I'll just spew the things I can remember really bothering me.
- The MC acted like everything was wrong, all the time... She's been wronged by everyone. Like, jeez, give it a REST.
- Her love interest, ex, up and left her with no explanation and she was completely devastated. There was no buildup or establishment of their epic love (very tell, don't show) and so the heartbreak felt supremely over dramatic. There was also no chemistry between them, aside from the very forced attraction which doesn't count and got annoying quick.
- The priest problem was NEVER a problem, she just HAD to MAKE it a problem and my rage at the whole thing is insane. He even GAVE her an out and she completely ignored it. "I'll ruin his life, I'm doing what's best" Bish you're not!!! Let HIM decide you complete moron! (I gotta chill, just the thought of this part makes my blood simmer)
- There is no way she now has a successful business with it's own office to work out of when she was living on the streets like a year ago.
- Which reminds me; she didn't have to live on the streets. Cause she has a FAMILY she could have gone to.
- Her flip-flopping between needing to know why the guy left (I already forgot his name) and just... deciding it's not worth the trouble also got annoying.
- She forgave real quick when they got to that portion of the book, like it reached the designated "now is the time for a turnaround" and it had to happen.. it was not... nope, didn't work.
- Her immediate acceptance and determination to just... move on with her life the moment she failed in her mission was... I do not wanna root for an MC like that. Made her incredibly unlikable in my eyes, even though she wasn't on good grounds anyway at that point. It certainly didn't help her case, I'll say that...
- She acted like a whiny teenager most of the time.
Anyway... If you've read that and still think you want to read... go ahead I guess. Read at your own risk.

Thoroughly enjoyable
I received a free copy of this audiobook in return for an honest review.
I really enjoyed listening to this book. It's a lovely combination of rounded and interesting characters, good dialogue, an intriguing back story and a solid plot, brought to life by an excellent narrator. It also ended on quite a cliffhanger, leaving me keen to know what happens next!

Great start
This was good, really good, at least in my opinion. It had a great blend of humour, a great-and-kickass female lead (I loved Toni and her sass!), subtle romance and last but not least, fantasy. I really liked the plot of the female lead being a tracker, it was interesting and something I've never read about before. And the plot twist at the end!! Holy cow, I cannot wait until the next book.
Kasi Hollowell narrated perfectly as usual.

Amazing start to the series
Wow it was so good I love Toni and her sass it was nice to listen about a different type of supe and also liked how they have a word for all supes I’ve never heard before. I’m hoping things with Jake will work out as the series progresses as they are made for each other . This is my first book from Ingrid Seymour but I’m already going to buy the rest of this series and preordered the ebook of her new series. Kasi Hollowell narrated perfectly as usual.

Book 1
This book is first in this series (not sure if a previous books or series exists but if not also possible prequel could be written). Toni has to face her past and reluctantly to help solve another missing person case. There is more mystery and secrets to be unravelled and some are starting to be revealed in this story. You could listen to this on on its own, but I want to listen to the next one and find out what happens next.
