A great book on trees and woodlands

Concerned with a privately owned forest in Maine USA, this wonderfully enjoyable and informative book is relevant to woodlands world wide - their great species richness and how they function. It deserves to be read widely, particularly now, when so many forests are being (or have been) felled, impacting ever further on climate change. It is also delightfully read!
