About this listen

In a world full of winged warriors, what difference can a wingless girl make?

Surrounded by powerful Valkyries, Emberly's wingless status is viewed as a curse. She never expected to be more than a slave and a training subject for the warriors. A chance rescue by the princes of Ardenia changes her life - but is it for the better?

Thrown into a world of politics, legends, and bigotry, Emberly must try to find a way to survive. With the help of the princes - Suneel, Jett, Blaine, Hunter, and Flynn - she begins to learn not only about life outside of the barracks, but about what it truly means to be loved.

Contains mature themes.

Didn’t tick many of my enjoyability boxes

Easy to follow, not much depth despite being a completely fictional world. I found 5 mates was too many for a short story, not really building much interest in any of them. Some of the internal hating I found went on longer then I wanted to lesson and I wasn’t drown into the story enough to care if there’s a 2nd book in the series or not.

easy listening

story was nice simple, and easy listen that you don't have to focus hard on to follow.
it is a complete story in it's own right, it doesn't feel like it's stopped half way through to make you get the next book.

Easy listening

This was a relatively good listen. Some plot points were a bit hackneyed (main character mainly lurches from one abduction to the next) but an interesting world makes up for it
