Summary

A queen raised in the shadows, and a fraud prince who needs her help.

The sole heir to the kingdom is destined to sleep for a hundred years. To hide this liability, the queen left her cursed daughter in the care of a trusted lord, while taking his son as her own. Rowan grew up hating the boy who had her crown and vowed to one day reclaim her place as queen.

But when a neighboring king threatens a war they won’t survive, Rowan must work with the fraud prince to save Elenvérs. She pledges herself as his spy in the enemy court and lives in the heart of danger. If she can’t save her kingdom before the curse hits, there may be nothing left to wake up to.

Book three in the Storyteller's Series. Each book is set in the same world with a few overlaying characters, but is a unique plot.

A unique look at sleeping beauty

Have you ever wondered what happened after sleeping beauty ended?

Well The Winter Charlatan is all about her granddaughter, she knows about the curse and she wants to break it.

This story follows Rowan, swapped at birth with a Lords son due to her curse, she knows the truth and she wants to stop it. She is selfish and everything is about her.

The author builds an incredible world of Winterland and the ice castle.

While Rowan and Ellis journey is interesting to follow although I would have loved more character development in some instances.

For some reason I felt underwhelmed by the ending although it did leave it open for the next book I just felt it didn’t do the rest of the book justice, perhaps I just wanted to know more to soon though!

Overall I really enjoyed this take on sleeping beauties future family and will pick up the next in the series when available.
