About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
Twelve stunning Doctor Who stories for the long winter nights.
Christmas can mean anything....
For Missy, it's solving murders in 1909.
For a little girl in Dublin, it's Plasmavores knocking at the door.
For Davros, it's a summons from the Doctor, who needs the mad inventor's help.
The perfect collection for the bleakest - and sometimes brightest - time of the year, these are the tales for when you're halfway out of the dark....
Written by popular children's author and lifelong Doctor Who fan Dave Rudden, author of Twelve Angels Weeping.

Great story, loved it
Great story, really loved it. I was not so sure about Sophie Aldred narrating this one as I have listened to some of hers before and not been that keen, but this one is brilliant. Well worth the listen.

Sneaking Faction Paradox back into canon
The stories here deal with Paradoxical consequences - always good in time travel tales.
Back before the RTD reboot, The Eighth Doctor Adventures and The Past Doctor Adventures ranges had recurring antagonists - a Faction of renegade time travellers who revelled in paradox rather than striving to avoid it.
This collection of stories sneaks in references to the faction. It also tells cracking yarns of Winter on many worlds, touched by the Doctor, companions and their foes.
Sophie Aldred does very acceptable impressions of the various Doctors and companions without distracting from her reading. Always remaining clear and in service of the stories.
Very good for listening in short bursts, when trying to do other things.
