Summary

Bradley Chalkers IS the oldest kid in the fifth grade. He tells enormous lies. He picks fights with girls. No one likes him - except Carla, the new school counselor. She thinks Bradley is sensitive and generous, and knows that Bradley could change, if only he weren’t afraid to try. But when you feel like the most-hated kid in the whole school, believing in yourself can be the hardest thing in the world....

A gift from the heart

Absolutely brilliant story about boys and girls, unwritren rules and real life in primary school. Heart warming, funny and sad moments all make the story more true to life. Lovable characters you can relate to. A gift from the heart.

My Year 5 class loved it

An excellent story with loveable characters and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments - such a gem. My class loved it from start to finish. Excellent narrator too.

A book about making friends

It was so good because a boy at the begining had no friends and as the book went on he made friends and lost friends. In the end he made a group of friends that loved him.
