About this listen
I’m the toughest enforcer in the league. I’ve worked hard for that title, but there’s one little problem with being an overachiever: I never know when to quit. So when I sucker-punch a rival on the ice, I end up benched for the rest of the season, suspended, and traded to Colorado. Feeling guilty and wanting to make things right, I decide to visit the injured player… only to be caught off guard by a stunning woman I meet at the hospital.
Natalie Foster’s fresh start isn't going as planned. After her new boyfriend lands in the hospital—thanks to yours truly—and his ex shows up to stir the pot, she seems relieved to find a new friend in me. And when I bite off more than I can chew by adopting a dog, she’s more than happy to lend a hand.
As I struggle to fit in with my new team and repair my reputation, I keep my past under wraps, even as my feelings for Natalie grow stronger. She has no clue I’m T.J. Shanstrom, but I’m falling harder every day.
The truth is about to wreck our chance for that perfect happily ever after.

4.5 Stars!
Third man in is book 2 in the Playmakers Series and features our mains T.J. and Natalie. After Pro hockey player T.J. (the enforcer on his team) gets into trouble due to some antics on the field, he is suspended from the remaining games for the rest of the season and is to be traded to another team.
Natalie is dating Kevin, whom was knocked out during the game and is the reason for T.J's suspension. When T.J. goes to check up on Kevin, he meets Natalie. This complicates things as Natalie of course dislikes the man who put her boyfriend in hospital. However, they slowly get to know each other during these meetings and things progress from there.
This book was surprising heart warming and also so fun to read. At first I wasn't sure about T.J. but he quickly won me over with the way he treated Natalie and looked out for and helped her. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I also loved how independent Natalie was; although T.J. is determined to help her, she still maintained her independence throughout whilst still accepting his help at times. Overall, I loved G.K Brady's writing in this and had fun!
I listened to the audio version of this book which was narrated by Tor Thom & Whitton Frank. The narration was excellent! They both did amazingly with the character voices, and they both brought the characters and story to life!

Sweet, engaging, and heartwarming!
This is the second book in The Playmakers Series, a Hockey Romance. I liked Natalie and T.J.’s story. Natalie is beautiful, kind, and caring. T.J. is handsome, and supportive. They are perfect together. Their story is sweet, engaging, and heartwarming, filled with secrets, and romance. Great narration from Tor Thom and Whitton Frank. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Gauging the Player, the next book in the series.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Gripping & Heartfelt
G.K Brady pens another fabulous novel set in her “Playmakers” series and it is just as amazing as the first book in the series, “Taming Beckett”. Each book features different lead characters and stands on their own. While some characters may crossover into each other’s books, everything you need to know is detailed and you will never feel lost or like you missed something. This book is professional hockey player T.J Shanstrom and Natalie Foster’s story. Natalie is dating Kevin May, one of T.J.’s teammates, but that is not how they meet, it was chance and circumstances that brought them together. I absolutely loved this story, it is well written and the plotting is fantastic. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it straight to the end, nothing else mattered except what was going to happen with these two. The buildup of their friendship was amazing, and while T.J knew who she was, she had known that he was the one responsible for Kevin’s injury. He thought he was doing the right thing, trying to help her out, make her life easier, but it was a train wreck waiting to happen. He planned on telling her but the timing was never right, and there was no denying that they were great together and for each other, the chemistry between them was through the roof. There is never a dull moment in this book, it has plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions, angst and slow burn, but so worth the wait romance. G.K. Brady, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Tor Thom and Whitton Frank are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, gave each their own voice and personality, and were believable in every role they played. You could heart how much heart they put into their work as they captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, making you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhanced this already fabulous story to another level.

Loving this hockey series!
Hockey is so much fun, and when a book is written about the goal scorer with an edge, it's even better! I love to get to know this player. The one who takes the man down for the good of the team, but in reality is nothing like his professional image. TJ does just what he is told, but when Kevin, the player in the way is hurt worse than expected, his life changes. Taking a hit for the team takes on a whole new meaning as he begins to take the repercussions of that one decision. But if it hadn't happened, he would not have met Natalie. Natalie, the girlfriend of the hurt player and the sparks are flying between TJ and her, much more than Kevin! She has no idea who TJ is in relation to Kevin, but she does know there is something about the man. Will these two find their way to happiness? GK Brady takes us into TJ's crazy world of working through his new life. What did I love the most? I can't choose just one thing. The man is like a big hug! He gets a dog, he's sweet and wonderful, he is remorseful and most of all he is loving. But getting around a lie is not the easiest thing. This is a fun listen, easy on the ears and a lot going on. I loved getting to know these characters and am looking forward to book 3.
Tor Thom and Whitton Frank are our story tellers and they bring this gem to life. Thom puts his heart out on his sleeve each time Natalie and TJ are together, so raw and easy to feel. Frank is a new to me narrator and she brings out Natalie's big heart as she embraces new career, and a sense of loyalty that is unbreakable. I enjoyed these two and their performance.

Great narration
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Tor Thom and new-to-me Whitton Frank. I'm sure that I liked the story more because of their performances. I would listen to both narrators again in the future.
The story itself had a lot more deception that I would have liked (mostly omission rather than outright lies). It also reminded me a bit of the first book in the Playmakers series in that the relationship would initially be forbidden so it starts out as friends, though the characters in the first book had a better friends-only relationship. I have listened to the first in the series (Taming Beckett), but you could listen to Third Man In as a stand alone. Beckett and Paige (from the first book) don't have huge roles in this story.
I received a copy of the audiobook at my request (and read it in KU), and the opinions here are my own.

I loved this hockey romance!!!
TJ is an enforcer in the NHL.. just doing his job is his mantra. Hockey has always been his salvation and his ticket out. If he had to play the goon, so be it. Until one game and one hard hit puts his opponent in the hospital and earns TJ a suspension until the end of the season.
TJ meets Nicole as he’s trying to figure out how to put his life together while his NHL career is on hiatus. He meets Nicole, a dog sitter and freelance accountant, with a huge heart and Amber eyes.
TJ soon discovers the Nicole of his dreams is also the current girlfriend of the man he severely injured on the ice that fateful game. Scared to tell her the truth, TJ know his reality with the woman he loves will come crashing around him when she finds out.
I loved this book. The narration was incredible, layered and rich, infused with character, depth and humor. I highly recommend this book.

third man
Amazing narration dual from Tor Thom and Whitton Frank. Perfect , perfect
Pro hockey player T.J. who is a bad boy hockey player is suspended from the remaining games for the rest of the season and now is to be traded to another team. He knocked another player called Kevin, the reason for his suspension.
While T.J. goes to sees how Kevin is , he meets Natalie. Problem is Natalie dislikes the man who put her boyfriend in hospital. But slowly they get to know each other during these meetings.
Natalie is one independent lady. Even though she has lost her career and now is a independent accountant and dog walker. Loved how the characters grow. This story has suspense, and the right amount of heat.
