Summary
In this new audiobook, I have taken eight stories from my previous audiobook Guided Ignatian Contemplation: Meditations on the Gospels to Come Closer to the Heart of Jesus and gone a step further by turning them into guided meditations.
In other words, I place the listener inside the gospel stories and encourage them to envision themselves interacting with Jesus and the disciples, helping listeners explore their feelings and thoughts as they take part in the events of Jesus’ life. I also encourage listeners to reflect on their lives and on their walk with God, and to have a personal conversation with Jesus. I suggest subjects that listeners may be willing to explore and provide them with the opportunity to bring their own personal prayers and concerns so they may have a personal dialogue with Jesus after immersing themselves in Jesus’ gospel stories.
This book is a helpful addition to both organized retreats and personal retreats. We may decide to take time off and spend quality time with Jesus in order to have that special encounter that will gradually transform our lives with patience. Jesus is there waiting for us to take the active steps toward him. He can do so much with the little we bring to him. The eight stories from the gospels that have been selected are presented in chronological order. Also, Bible verses from other Old and New Testament books have been included that may relate to the story and enrich the text with the written word of God.

Deeper prayer life
I love this book. Lawrence Keller Bass is brilliant. This book is an excellent resource. We are currently using it in our church Study Group, and it sparks wonderful, thoughtful discussions.

Excellent book regarding the Gospels.
