Summary

The heart of a hero.

In the wilds of a jungle planet, the Legion fights in brutal combat as Republic marines fly their SLICS from one tragedy to the next.

H292, a repurposed warbot, shows the heart of a hero as he wades into the battle not to destroy - but to save.

My new series

I enjoyed this book. I will listen to the rest of the series, because of it.

Short and amazing

it is a very short story, but I loved it how another character came to life.

great short story

really enjoyed this, a little predictable, but worth the time.
quite similar to expeditionary force stories, but I might well get into the galaxy edge books after this.

brilliant little filler story

nice and short and to the point without the usual drawn out build up that can burden this series
great listen in between books and class ending!

Great novella

It's pretty difficult to convey an emotional story about an inanimate object / robot, but this was written truly well. So much, that I will most likely start reading the main series.

Great little story

A well crafted side story that provides background to a great character in the main series. I am loving this whole universe, how long till Netflix buys the rights and turns it into the monster hit it should be. Am looking forward to the savage wars books coming soon.

Short story

It’s so annoying how good short stories can be - and their short!
Great prequel snippet of ‘life’ before…

RC Bray is so good

If RC Bray got an angry letter from his neighbour, I’d listen to him read it.

He is unquestionably the greatest audio book performer.

Short story perfection

Exactly what one wants from a short story that is part of a greater war anthology.
