Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Improving your life is much easier than you think. Whether it's losing weight, sleeping more, or restoring your work/life balance - the secret is to start small.

For years, we've been told that being healthier and productive is a matter of willpower: that we should follow the latest fad and make constant changes to our lifestyles. But whether in our diets, fitness plans or jobs, radical overhauls never work. Instead we should start with quick wins - and embed new, tiny habits into our everyday routines.

The world expert on this is Silicon Valley legend BJ Fogg, pioneering research psychologist and founder of the iconic Behaviour Design Lab at Stanford. Now anyone can use his science-based approach to make changes that are simple to achieve and sticky enough to last.

In the hugely anticipated Tiny Habits, narrated by the author, BJ Fogg tells us how to change our lives for the better, one tiny habit at a time. Based on twenty years of research and his experience coaching over 40,000 people, it cracks the code of habit formation. Focus on what is easy to change, not what is hard; focus on what you want to do, not what you should do. At the heart of this is a startling truth - that creating happier, healthier lives can be easy, and surprisingly fun.

Includes a bonus PDF of graphs and diagrams.

Life changing, one celebration at a time

This book teaches the skills of change. No matter where you stand on the nature or nurture debate- this book tells us how- by nature- our mind can be hacked to embrace and propel change. Changing what we do and consequently who we are. While there are many books on each specific area- for example. how to eat better or how to manage your finances, this book is more fundamental: how do you actually change your day to day behaviour so that you succeed to eat better or manage your money better. I have worked with the book for few months now and have succeeded in cultivating many new behaviours in my life. The principal I found most ground breaking was the importance of celebration in the formation of new habits. These are not empty, out of thin air, meaningless 'positive affirmations', but rather- well prescribed and tuned moments of shine, that wire in the new habits.
Get this book if you want to have a better life. This just might be the route forward.

fantastic

I really enjoyed this book. its transformational.. I came after getting the reference from atomic habits which turns our to be what seems quite a poor imitation of this book. I like the fact BJ narrates it. I do appreciate self narrated books best because the author knows which parts to emphasise. The process described makes a lot of sense and I'm ready putting what I've learned into practice. I've bought the paper book as well now and plan to integrate it teachings into my life. thank you author. I can ready feel that this book is changing my life.

Life changing

As someone who has struggled for most of my life with building habits, momentum and self motivation, this book has been instrumental for me in finding new purpose and, most importantly, giving me the tools to work towards it in ways that are simple and effortless to start and build from. Highly recommended to anyone that struggles to stick at anything and feels like they've lost their way in the pursuit of their hopes, dreams and aspirations.

Worth a read

Tiny Habits has a good amount of useful content regarding habit change and the book is well read by the author. I liked the simplicity of the techniques and the fact that it all felt like common sense; albeit common sense I had to read this book to recognise. What I didn't like were the buzz words which made it feel a bit too much like a sales pitch; this reduced my confidence in what was being said, even though the author did come across as sincere. I will be definitely be giving these techniques a go.

Tiny Habits formula is my tried and true way...

The tiny Habits formula is my tried and true way to achieving goals and ideals which previously seemed impossible or daunting for me to achieve. I already recommend this book to friends and family. And if you're an entrepreneur, this is a highly recommended read.

Really great, inspiring, practical book on habits

I really enjoyed this book. The author was compassionate and helpful sharing wisdom and insights which felt like missing pieces of the habit change puzzle.

I've read books on habits before but this book explains exactly what to do to create and keep any habit in an accessible way.

It's nice to come across a book that isnt repeating the same content as other books.

The author guides you through the habit change process like a good friend and I really feel honoured to have read this book.

Thanks you for making some of my me time walking in the garden enjoyable and useful.

I am going to start with some of the techniques in my next journal. Very intriguing to see what new habits i can create.

I have already consolidated some of my existing knowledge by reading this book and am seeing changes and progress in my life.

Definitely worth a read!

Enjoyed this helpful book

Enjoyed this helpful book, the only criticism I have is that the person reading the book was very dull slow and monotone which made listening to it quite difficult. The context of the book is good. Suggest putting the reading speed up
