About this listen
This is the semi-fictional historical journey of the Judge and Scanlon families from County Mayo, Ireland.
Beginning in 1710, I was able to trace my Irish roots to the Province of Connaught, County Mayo, Cities Ballina, and Sligo Ireland. Surprisingly, most of the families who migrated to the United States landed in Scranton, Minooka, and Dunmore, Pennsylvania. I discovered playmates I had as a child were actually distant cousins. I also found the my father had a half-brother that lived six blocks away. They never knew about each other.
The book is filled with historical facts about the struggles the Irish endured, as well as imaginary tales of life in County Mayo from 1710 to 1940.
