Excellent story from the Bible
Lovely to hear a story from the Bible read in this way. Enjoyable listening, even had it on in the car. Can't wait to hear the next in the series.

Brilliant
I love this whole series.
The stories are so gripping with so much details, you almost forget that it is a biblical story.
The narrator is very easy to listen to and the books are so well written.
Would highly recommend, whether you are Christian or not. If you like historical novels, you will love these too.

Nice and colourful
It was very nice to get a better insight on the different traditions and uses of the old tribes. I wish I could read all the old books of the bible like this one.

wonderful
I really enjoyed listening to the story about Tamar and the narrator brought the story to life in the Bible and I had a greater understanding of the time of old in the Bible. How God used Tamar to show Judha that he needed God's forgiveness and to recognise once he confessed his sin God would restore Judha to the place he wanted Judha to be. Tamar was an amazing women because she suffered so much for a young girl at the age 14 , I have been truly blessed.

a Story for all dad's and daughters
The story of Tamar's determination to do the right thing and her hunger to know and serve the living God is inspiring. I was 23 years old when i first read this story. I'm 35 now and planning to name my next daughter after Tamar. it's not an easy story to listen to but God also challenges us to be the best parents we can and set an example.
it's also encouraging to know God's plan for us isn't necessary linked to our short comings. God has great plans for us even if we are here normal people.
Tamar's story along with Redeeming love is my favorite work from F. Rivers.
