About this listen
On her way to a martial arts convention, Danielle Kane's plane crashes on an island in the Bermuda Triangle with cities trapped in time. She is furious to learn that on this island teetering on the brink of civil war, women are chattel. The 16th-century Spaniards want to lock her in a tower. The 14th- century pirates want to enslave her. The Inca Indians would worship her as a god. The World War II soldiers aren't sure what to make of her. None of them are ready for a modern woman.

Good read
I wasn’t too sure about this book in the beginning, but I am glad that I carried on with it.
Danielle’s plane crashes in the Bermuda triangle and she finds herself stuck on an island where time seems to have stood still and women are still second class citizens seen as the property of their husbands or fathers. She soon finds that there are different groups, and that the islands are on the verge of civil war. In her journey across the islands Danielle changes the lives and opinions of nearly everyone she meets.
I enjoyed the book, and was sad that it ended at the point that it did, as I would have liked to have seen more of her life.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review

Good story, average narration
I almost gave up on this story, the first chapter did not inspire, but that would have been a mistake as in the end it is well worth a listen. It develops into a well told entertaining story of a martial arts expect lost in the Bermuda triangle who washes up on a strange island and her adventures. There is intolerance and betrayal, war and conflict, love and tragedy and a flying serpent. The writing is generally excellent after the first chapter. The narration however does not really do the story justice, countless mispronunciations, how can you not pronounce clergy correctly, also a slightly monotone quality takes some getting used to but I did. Overall I liked the characters of Ursa Kane and Morgan and really enjoyed the world Stacy has created. I particularity liked the radio messages at the start of some the chapters and would have liked some of these stories to have been included, there are other characters and incidents that are mentioned that I would have enjoyed hearing more of. Overall a worthwhile listen that with better narration could have been greatly improved. I received a complimentary copy from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review
