Summary
Kurt Wallander ist Anfang zwanzig, Polizeianwärter in Malmö und bis über beide Ohren in Mona verliebt. Als er seinen Wohnungsnachbarn erschossen in der Küche findet, den Revolver noch in der Hand, glaubt er nicht an Selbstmord, umso mehr, als die Wohnung des Toten in Flammen aufgeht und man wenig später auf eine weitere Leiche stößt.
