Summary

He's a supernova....Wild and untamed, but I refuse to let his light die. If need be, I'll be that light for him. We'll end this together

The body count is rising in Maywood Heights, and Royal seems determined to add to that number. He wants to take out those who hurt Paige. Though I want justice too, I'm not sure how far his need for revenge will take him. These flames might consume him in the end. If we're not careful, they may destroy all of us - Royal's boys and myself included in that number.

Something dark and deeply wicked looms over the town, Maywood Heights, but I'm determined to stand next to Royal, Knight, Jax, and LJ, to do what needs to be done. My sister will get justice in this town. She deserves it, and we'll be the ones to bring it to her....I just hope the ultimate price in the end isn't our souls.

Warning: This enemies-to-lovers, high school romance contains some dark themes and light bullying. The book is not a standalone, as it is book four, in a four-part series of full-length novels. Royal Prinze is the only hero of this tale....Good luck getting him to share.

Fantastic finale!

What a story! This finale has it all! Romance, suspense, good friends, deception twists and turn, you name it and Eden O'Neill provides it! We pick up where book 3 left off, and December and Royal are together! YAY! But is it something to rejoice? There are still so many unanswered questions. What really happened to Paige? And now a second student death is giving up more questions, bringing us additional suspects and all it does is bring Royal and December closer together. We flash from the past to the present and slowly we get the answers, Ones we certainly don't expect. This is what I love about the series. O'Neill keeps us on the edge, completely invested and ravenous to find the answers. It's a fantastic listen and series. Yes, you must listen to all 4 books in order to get the whole picture and hours of enjoyment that I had. If you love dark, twisted, new adult romance, then this is the series for you!

The best team of narrators for new adult romance brings this series to it's end. Gregory Salinas is so good, creating a hint of danger, a bit of mystique and a feeling of love. He is the perfect Royal and his friends. Plus his interpretation of those involved(I am not going to give it away) has a creepy quality, exactly the voice. Kasi Hollowell has such a good voice and she creates strong, passionate December. She brings out all of her emotions and makes it realistic. I loved this series and their performances!

We the Pretty Stars

Wow what an epic ending to this series. This is the final book in the Court High series. This series started off with the tragic death of Paige, December’s sister. December knew that something wasn’t right when it came back as a drunken accident/ suicide. That just wasn’t her sister. December moved back in with her dad to discover the truth behind Paige’s death. Along the way she fell in love with Prince, Paige’s best friend. Together they finally found out the truth behind it all. This series was intense along the way, but truly amazing. Kasi Hollowell and Gregory Salinas did a phenomenal job narrating this book!

My Thoughts on We The Pretty Stars

Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting that ending but it sure was satisfying. There were so many surprising twists but I was happy that everything felt resolved and like everyone got closure. It was especially nice to see all the development with the different relationships. Not just December and Royal but also with her father, her aunt, and their group of friends. Overall, this was an excellent series by Eden O’Neill and I wouldn’t hesitate to hear more after this one. The narration was great as well. Kasi Hollowell and Gregory Salinas are both favorites of mine and not only did they have good tones for the main characters they were voicing but had good tones for the secondary characters as well. It was a pleasure to listen to.

O'Neill delivers again!

We the Pretty Stars, the fourth and final book in the Court High series, is a wonderfully written, enemies-to-lovers, dark high school romance. The storyline is fast-paced, engaging, and totally engrossing, loaded with drama, angst, secrets, suspense, mind-blowing revelations, surprising twists and turns. I was kept right at the edge of my seat, wondering how December's story was going to conclude. One of my favourite parts was Paige's PV; it was sad but great learning her side of things, providing much-needed insight into what had really happened and how she'd died. O'Neill brought all the puzzle pieces together perfectly, bringing the story to a satisfying conclusion.

Court High is a fantastic and cleverly written quartet. So much happens in the series, deception, secrets, murder, and so many twists. I recommend reading or listening to all four books in order. December and Royal's relationship was one up and after another down and so much drama in-between; I'm glad they finally found a happy ending.

The narration is outstanding! Kasi Hollowell and Gregory Salinas did a fantastic job portraying the characters and their complicated emotions. They definitely breathed life into O'Neill's words and made the story and characters come to life. Overall, We the Pretty Stars was a fantastic listen and an excellent addition to the series, and one I'll recommend.

December & Royal

I know, I know this is book 4 and you usually don’t just jump into some series without starting from the beginning. But I didn’t feel like I was lost at all.

December lives in a town full of secrets. Big, life changing secrets. She’s lost her sister and is determined to find out what happened. The town has lost some of its own as well.

Royal is part of the Court. The Court runs the town and keeps all the secrets buried, literally. Along with his crew - Knight, AJ & Jax - they help unravel the town's mysteries, including what happened to December's sister.

In between detective time, December and Royal get closer. He will and does do anything to protect her.

The ending was great and I can definitely see myself going back to start with book 1.

The audiobook was a great listen, it was narrated in Dual POV by Kasi Hollowell and Gregory Salinas.

Audio ARC provided and I decided to leave an honest review.

Perfect ending to this awesome series.

This book was the perfect capstone to this series. December and Royal are now 100 percent invested in each other and getting to the bottom of Paige’s murder. Things become even more dangerous than before, but along with the Court Boys, they are a formidable, solid team. There are enemies behind every corner, including some dangerous and unexpected ones because they’re so good at hiding in plain sight.

I loved the evolution and progression of December and Royal’s relationship. They are a couple that are genuinely good for and to each other. They’re written as strong, intelligent, and resilient. The twists and turns left me gasping at times. These books are so well-written and crafted. Kasi Hollowell and Gregory Salinas are outstanding narrators and perfect for this book.

Spectacular Ending to an Amazing Series!

This series has been one wild and mind-blowing thought provoking ride and Eden O’Neil keeps up the momentum and delivers an equally mind-blowing finale and I could say I seriously did not see that coming. This book picks up where “Court Kept” ended and lots of things were unresolved and because of all the twists and turns, some answers only raised more questions. The author weaved one complex and twisted tale and she unravels it right before your very eyes in this book, not only answering the questions that had you wondering but pulling the rug out from under you when revealing who was really behind it all. I loved how this series pulled me in and how it consumed my mind. The world building and character growth have been phenomenal throughout the series and it all pays off in this book. It was great to see how much each of character grow into their own. I rooted for December the entire series, Royal Prinze redeemed himself along the way and in many ways and we finally get to see who he really is as a person in this book. His minions, court buddies, Knight, Jax and LJ were all amazing and were with him the entire way. t was also great to see Ramses and Royal kind of come to an understanding. There were a lot of other great characters in this series and I was happy to see them again get updates on them, including Birdie and her teammates. Eden O’Neil did a wonderful job wrapping everything up in a tidy way. I highly recommend this series, it is a brilliantly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, action, twists and turns, mystery, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Eden O’Neill, thank you for the amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Kasi Hollowell and Gregory Salinas continue to do an outstanding job bringing these characters and their story to life. They have been consistent with the character voices for every character they played and did so with a complete understanding of each character’s persona, sounding believable that every role and just as I pictured the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Their narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧
