Summary

Several generations after his great-grandmother Margaret Manson leaves Scotland for the rugged Pacific Northwest, Jack Manson becomes intrigued when some of the unresolved mysteries of Margaret’s adventures surface.

On a construction site in modern day Victoria, workers uncover an old journal and discover it belonged to Jack’s great grandfather, Margaret’s husband, who was washed overboard and lost on his way to Victoria. Jack rallies his friends and colleagues to help solve the unknowns, especially the reference to Spanish gold in the journal. They work together to decipher the journal and solve a generations-old family riddle from Jack’s family. As they try to solve these puzzles, the subject of Spanish gold creates serious interest and complications from others with powerful gang connections as far as Vancouver and Hong Kong.

So again, they are thrown together into a complicated web of confusion, deceit, and danger as they try to solve the mysteries of Margaret Manson’s great West Coast adventure.

Monica Wemitt is a rising star!

Really really enjoyed this book. It grabbed me from the first page. The research the author did on this subject is staggering, and fascinating. Monica Wemitt makes this story come alive. She is the newest rising star in audiobook narration!

Fantastic Story! Read by a Superb Storyteller!

My favorite storyteller, Monica M.Wemitt, is reading this wonderfully descriptive and historic telling of a fantastic story written by Ian Kent. And I highly recommend you listen to her, too!
The book is a fascinating telling of a well researched classic story of Gold, a 2nd book about treasure lost at Sea and the search for it in the generations long beyond the times of the original ship crossings. Interconnecting Lifetimes... the good, the bad and the not so good... as we all know or might have witnessed in families and our own lives.
I found that Monica's reading and the perfectly defined characters, so beautifully acted with her voice, always kept it very clear to me about what was happening! Superb Storytelling! And Wonderfully written Characters. I cannot wait to hear more of this story from Ian Kent!
And I'll be on the lookout for Monica's readings here on Audible!!!
