About this listen

Penguin presents the unabridged downloadable audiobook edition of Why You? by James Reed, narrated by James Reed.

Revised and updated for 2017, with 10 extra tech questions.

You can't prepare an answer for every interview question. So, of the thousands of questions they might ask, which ones will they ask?

Why You? is based on direct input from hundreds of top interviewers in Reed's unrivalled recruitment network. It offers powerful preparation techniques, the lowdown on how to answer the most common questions and - above all - how to adopt a winning mind-set that will help you succeed on the day. From classic questions like 'tell me about yourself' and 'what are your greatest weaknesses?' to puzzlers like 'sell me this pen' and 'how many traffic lights are there in London?', James Reed reveals what interviewers are really asking.

Why you gave us some brilliant ideas

I just thought I give a 4 star, the reason why was his voice was not upbeat enough for this particular book..

This book Will certainly give you a lot ideas about interview technique, but it's an incredible book but awfully long.

But it worth taking the time to learn some of the questions that you might get asked in interview, so get ahead buy the book

Brilliant

I found this really useful when preparing for an interview. After a previous disastrous interview I applied the STAR method and other things that I had learnt and start my new job next month. It is a good listen with loads of great tips, examples of how to structure responses was really helpful. I got great feedback about my interview technique after the interview.

brilliant

Eveything you need in preparation for an interview. This book is 'Best in Class'. I've listened to a few interview Audio books recently and this, hands down, is in a different league. Insightful, engaging, intelligent, just what I need. I'm not an experienced job seeker, I don't have a plethora of interviews to my belt; even if I did, I'm sure I would learn from this superb Audio Book. Well done the Author and those involved in its creation : )

Excellent book and very relevant.

James Reed’s book consists of questions asked in a typical job interview and how to answer them. There are loads of examples and very useful tips. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a new role.

Brilliant!

Have always had a problem with interviews my entire life. Although this book didn't make me less nervous during my recent interview, it did give me the confidence to answer the questions to the full, properly and with conviction. And I got the job!!! 😁

Helped me get my job!

As someone who completely freaks out in interview situations, this book really helped and made me properly plan out my answers and be more considered in my responses.

Definitely recommend - have a pen and paper handy to make notes!

Excellent tool for interviewees

I found this book invaluable. If only to remind you of the basics and enable you to anticipate the tougher questions. Well written: concise, practical and jargon-free.

Great for preparation

Just finished listening to this and it is packed with great pointers. I would highly recommend getting yourself a pen and paper to take notes as part of your preparation, or, get the Kindle version also. The book is full of great questions, however a key part is the 15 questions that, in their variations, cover the broad topics that an interviewer is likely going to want to know. Have those nailed down and you should have the confidence to give you the edge for the rest of the interview.
