Summary
豊島与志雄の「白藤」は、戦地から戻ってきた草光保治の回想である。終戦から2年半たってやっと復員してきた保治の目には、東京は異邦のように映った。電車に乗っていて、ふと藤の花が目に入った。そこから出征前の心通わせた細川美代子との記憶が蘇っていく。 坂口安吾の「アンゴウ」は、安吾としては異色の作品で、推理小説仕立てになっている。終戦間もなく、復員してきた矢島は神田の古本屋でなじみのある上代史の本をみつけ、思わず入手した。それは親友の神尾の蔵書だったが、そこになぜが女手によると思われる男女の密会を想像させる暗号らしき紙片がはさまっていた。しかも、それが自分の勤務先だった出版社の罫紙だったことから、矢島は疑念を募らせていくのだが――たどり着いた胸震わす真実とは!
