About this listen
Can two men keep a childhood promise for marital bliss?
Wyatt is overwhelmed after his grandfather dies, leaving him to take over the cattle ranch. The Triple J is floundering, vandals are targeting him, and his first and only love is finally within reach - and still holding a grudge. Wyatt has wanted to marry Diego since they made a childhood pact, but Diego isn't back for their second chance.
When a funeral calls Diego back to Texas, he comes face-to-face with the cowboy who broke his heart. Resentment has burned inside him for years, but his anger wavers as he realizes just how much Wyatt is struggling to keep his head above water. The man he once loved is lonely and burdened, and Diego feels compelled to help him rediscover the strong, capable rancher he knows him to be.
Hostility gives way to passion, then friendship as they fall into a rhythm of work and sex. Wyatt has renewed hope he might wrangle the man he wants to be his groom. But Diego has a life waiting for him 1,000 miles away, and love may not be enough to prevent history from repeating itself.
Wrangling a Groom is book two of the Marital Bliss series, but it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone. It's approximately 85,000 words.

Hot and heavy times
This is a second chance romance that starts out with a lot of hurt and anger. I really loved how the two main characters put these to good use with hot and heavy times. Those scenes are so well written with lots of passion which eventually turns back to love.
Wyatt is the more sympathetic of the two at the start. He's had a trying time of family politics and trying to keep a ranch going, and wears his heart on his sleeve. Diego takes a longer time to forgive past mistakes and to realise he made mistakes too. I love the underlying theme of a bond made as small boys eventually coming true.
I always find it takes a while to ease into Wyatt Baker's narration. It is different to lots of others, but not in a bad way. He is very clear and pacing is excellent, but sometimes his voice is quite monotone. Nevertheless, I greatly enjoyed his interpretations of the different characters.

Cute cowboys and steamy scenes
This book is the second in a series, but can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone. I instantly fell in love with the characters and was desperate for Wyatt and Diego to find their way back to each other.
Their story was equal parts steamy and sweet and included some fantastic angry sex.
I loved the dynamic between the main characters and found myself getting really invested in the lives of the side characters. I can't wait for the next installment in the series.

Angsty but in a good way
A second chance romance with a fair dose of angst, Wrangling A Groom is a great second book in the Marital Bliss series.
Diego and Wyatt grew up together and when they were six years old made a pact to marry each other when they were 25. This is set out in the cutest prologue ever.
Fast forward 19 years and we meet Diego and Wyatt when they are 25 and a lot has happened in those 19 years.
This book has so much depth, there’s a lot of hurt over what’s happened in the past and DJ Jamison crafts an excellent story showing how Wyatt and Diego move past their history and remember the love they have for one another.
Set on a ranch there are plenty of opportunities for sexy cowboy fun and boy this does not disappoint.
There are a few options for the next book and I’m forward to visiting the Bliss world again.

as good as the ebook
The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

A lovely second chance romance
This is book 2 in the Marital Bliss series, but you don’t need to have listened to book 1.
Wrangling a Groom is a lovely slow-burn, second chance romance with plenty of angst resulting from past actions with some hot, passionate, angry sex scenes. There’s a lot the two main characters, Diego and Wyatt, have to sort out and it takes time for them to work through their past, to forgive, and move forward. My heart hurt for these guys and what they’d been through.
Caleb and Justin from book 1 have a cameo chapter or two, making me want to go back and listen to their story.
Wyatt Baker provides clear and passionate narration, making it an enjoyable listen. I like the author’s writing style and the way the story is structured.

Characters for the win!
Story: the story is sooo good! The characters were perfectly matched and their emotions on such vivid display! I loved all the side characters too, they gave such a brilliant flair to the book. The plot and tropes are very popular here, but executed in great fashion.
Narration: I liked the narrator’s voice a lot! The characters dofferentiation could use a bit of work though, as well as some of the narration parts that felt too emotional to me. All in all though, a good job and easy to understand for a non-English native speaker.

Second Chance Of Love.
I loved this audiobook!
Second chance love is one of my favourite tropes. If it's one of yours too, then I am more than happy to recommend this story.
Wyatt Baker has done a brilliant job of bringing these characters to life.
Wyatt and Diego make a marriage pact when they are children. Young love is torn apart when Wyatt's Grandfather discovers them together and gives Wyatt an ultimatum.
Full of anger and resentment,Diego leaves, moves to Miami and builds a life for himself.
They are thrown back together when Wyatt's Grandfather dies and Diego comes back to pay his respects.
All of their emotions come to a head and they clash in an angry, hot and most intimate way.
With so much emotional damage between them and their separate lives can they ever come back together?

Cowboy frenemies!
Since his grandfather died, Wyatt has been managing the Texan ranch he grew up on but things are grim. When estranged childhood friend, Diego, returns for a funeral, their anger, wounded pride, and hurt feelings boil over again. I really liked the multifaceted storyline which included the frenemy romance, a sabotage mystery, and the history / future of the ranch. Wyatt Baker adds extra colour and excitement with his narration.
