Very tiresome - I gave up

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

English Lit students maybe, looking at the history of novels. I think most modern readers would not be interested.

Has Zuleika Dobson put you off other books in this genre?

It's put me off taking much notice of top hundred lists of novels.

How could the performance have been better?

Saying Zed instead of Zee would have helped with an English novel.

What character would you cut from Zuleika Dobson?

Both the main characters are very tiresome. I think they are meant to be, but it is not funny enough to make this work.

Any additional comments?

For humour and parody try Anthony Powell or Evelyn Waugh instead.
