Arizona House Bill 2843. Re-writing the definition of "Premises" as it applies to Self Defense

  • Summary

  • Arizona H.B. 2843 changes the definition of the word "premises" as it pertains to the Stand Your Ground Law. With the influx of illegal border crossings, Arizona land owners, among other boarder states, are having damage done to their fences, property resulting in cattle and livestock loss and/or deaths costing them thousands and thousands of dollars every week. The bill has passed it's second reading as of 2/29/24 and looks as though it will proceed to the Governor's Desk. It's to be seen if the Governor, Katie Hobbs (D) will sign it.
