We looked into the history of the amazing but somewhat creepy mental health facility known as the Independence state hospital. 

One thing I want to make very clear, and we are in no way insulting ANY paitents from this facility, past or present. We are strickly talking about the building itself and the history of mental health care EVERYWHERE, not just here. 

This location has always been known to give the best care and procedures to the residence here that call this place home. Now, we have a better understanding of mental health and mental diseases now then we did back then, so the techniques they had used, seem brutal to anyone, but I remind you, they thought it was the best care at the time with the understanding they had of mental illnesses.
