  • S3 Ep 10 'The Christmas Horror Song (Cos of Covid 19) Music Special live from The Overlook Hotel (SEASON FINALE)
    Dec 4 2021

    Send us a Text Message.

In this rather unusual episode of Creepy Cove, Peter turns up at the church ready for another lovely horror themed church service, but is struck by the eerie atmosphere...OF AN EMPTY CHURCH.

    Where is the congregation?

Thankfully, Peter is able to have a conversation with Church Administrator Rupert Donk, to learn that a terrible blight has reached even Creepy Cove...

Yet the show must go on, in some way...and so after ten minutes of chat, Rupert dusts off an old cassette and plays it...what is on the tape, you ask? I shall tell you.

For it is the Flicks That Church Forgot Horror Song Music Special from 2014. Previously thought lost (e.g. behind a Patreon Paywall) that special show, broadcast from The Overlook Hotel, is played in it's entirety for your pleasure. That music special features songs from horror films, METICULOUSLY recreated by Peter Laws with his keyboard, guitar and a Macbook.

    Music includes songs from
    THE WICKER MAN
    CARRIE
HOWLING II: YOUR SISTER IS A WEREWOLF
    TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE II
    SILVER BULLET
    THE LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK
    KINGDOM OF THE SPIDERS
    &
DEADTIME STORIES (aka Freaky Fairy Tales)

So please sit back and enjoy this tale of two halfs, almost...a dip into Creepy Cove, and then a special night of entertainment from the vault...all in a bid to wish you, our loyal listener...a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  • S3 E9 'What is Love?' (SERMON ONLY VERSION).
    Nov 20 2021

    Send us a Text Message.

Welcome to another episode of Creepy Cove Community Church! You will find herein, a recording of our most recent church service. Which we shall tell you about in words below...

Please note that this is the SERMON ONLY version. If you'd like the full experience, complete with an interview with the killer doll Chucky from the film series Child's Play then please proceed with haste to the FULL SERVICE VERSION which should be sitting just next to this one.

Tonight Peter leads us in a 'sermon' on the topic 'What Is Love?' and at no point does he say, 'Baby, don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more.' What a missed opportunity, ey?

Following this address, we have a time of prayer and meditation followed by the church band who leap to the stage to perform this week's Horror Hymn. This highly effecting electro track explores who the science fiction future we were all promised (glitter wigs, robots and people dressed in glass and metal) never materialised. And so the people of the modern age are wearing much more mundane attire...the title of this though provoking toe-tapper is 'THE FUTURE IS FLEECE'. This track uses an actual vocoder, so please be impressed.

May this service please you, encourage you, amuse you or disgust you...but may it never make you feel unwelcome. For no matter who you are, no matter what you believe, you are loved here at Creepy Cove.

Welcome to another episode of Creepy Cove Community Church! You will find herein, a recording of our most recent church service. Which we shall tell you about in words below...

The service opens with our church administrator Rupert Donk, who (after warning people to avoid a sleeping Mr Upson Pratt in the front row) proceeds to share some exciting news about our minister Peter Laws. For he has joined Arc Light Media to become the lead writer and presenter of the 'FRIGHTFUL' podcast. Tune in to that for free every Sunday, for scary but true tales of the paranormal, creepy crime, bizarre creatures, urban myths and much more! Just search 'FRIGHTFUL' in your podcast apps, or on Spotify.

After that blatant, but well intentioned plug, Rupert has a most invigorating discussion with a local haunted doll. Chucky's the name, and murderin' and disrespectin' in his game. But will he behave himself now he's in a church? Let's hope so!

After that, it's over to Peter who leads us in a 'sermon' on the topic 'What Is Love?' and at no point does he say, 'Baby, don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more.' What a missed opportunity, ey?

After that, Rupert and Peter have a little chat about the potential rehabilitation of little Chucky, then our service draws to a close.

May it please you, encourage you, amuse you or disgust you...but may it never make you feel unwelcome. For no matter who you are, no matter what you believe, you are loved here at Creepy Cove.

Welcome to Creepy Cove Community Church! The only horror themed church service podcast that we know of...

In tonights service Rupert our church administrator points out a most intriguing sight...a strange light from a crashed meteor which emits an impossible to describe colour out of space. What on earth could it be?

Next we hear some exciting news about Damien Thorne's birthday party, and an invite for the church to make little balloon animals for his garden party. The balloons are all for you, Damien!

We then have a very interesting interview with Laurie Strode, who tells us all about her psycho stalker Michael Myers. Is he a good ballroom dancer? Does he have reasonable body odour? Oh, we find out so much info...

Alice McDermott, the pilot, pastor, padre shares our reading, then it's over to Jonty Langley from The Beer Christianity Podcast. He's our guest speaker and he shares some very helpful thoughts on dealing with the ups and downs of mental health.

  • S3 Ep 7 'Dealing With Rejection' Part 2 (FULL SERVICE feat Father Paul from Netflix's 'Midnight Mass'
    Oct 23 2021

    Send us a Text Message.

Welcome to another fine service here at Creepy Cove Community Church. The only horror themed church on the planet...surely?

This is the FULL SERVICE...if you just want the 'sermon/ talk' then check out the SERMON ONLY VERSION next to this one.

Rupert Donk opens tonights service with some devastating news about the churches coffee machine...the poltergeist has struck once again! Then we have a very special guest who takes the stage for an interview...yes, we hear from the lovely Father Paul Hill who is taking over from Monsignor Pruitt over on Crockett Island. Father Paul is heading off to Crockett tomorrow, so he has joined our humble church to draw some spiritual inspiration from our congregation. But will he make it through the interview without collapsing?

In the interview, he and Rupert discuss how moist Monsignor Pruitt's armpits are, and how this 'unpleasant' bodily feature has led to great wonders.

Next we are delighted to have our Bible reading from Lyssiah, who hails from the nearby town of Twin Peaks. After that Peter takes the stage to speak to us on the topic of Dealing With Rejection...sharing a few times he has struggled with rejection himself...but we learn how it does not have to define us.

After a Crockett Island themed prayer and meditation, it's over to Father Paul again who turns out to be a most talented troubadour. For he sings a little self-penned ditty for us about his new role at St Saviours on Crockett. A full on cheese fest song called 'I Feel Okay'.

Finally, Rupert and Peter discuss the challenges of toe-tapping and maritime drinks before retiring to the bar.

And that completes another pleasant and hopefully encouraging service from the windswept church on the peak.

We very much hope you enjoyed your time with us...thanks for coming!
