    Welcome back to another episode of Foodie Friends -- where food, parenting, women's health and life over 50 meet at a cozy virtual café!

    Grab a cup of coffee, or steaming mug of tea, and settle in for this really poignant episode.  Jane chats with one of her dearest friends, Jo, about their individual battles (and victories) with breast cancer.  They open up about their struggles, their fear and worries, the care they received and how their breast cancer journey was very different, but also had many similarities. 

    October is International Breast Cancer month, so please share these episode with all the women in your life......and men, too, because they also get breast cancer.

     Jane and I recorded this IN PERSON on my trip to the UK and I think you'll be able to tell we had a BLAST!

    We got to catch up with Heidi from Eat, Live, Sleep Herefordshire over a fabulous pot of tea at incredibly charming and delicious The Nest.  And, lucky us, Bruno (the CEO of Little Verzons Farm) joined us!  It was completely spur of the moment and I couldn't believe I went all the way to Hereford, UK to meet someone with connections to California!

    We're not coaches or counselors or motivational speakers.  We're just 2 women who knew nothing about how to create a podcast or write a cookbook, but knew we wanted to create both, figured it out and made it work!

    Did you miss us?  

    We took a little break and we're back for SEASON 2!  

    Before we get into it, this is an extra exciting episode because we recorded it IN PERSON!  Jane, Mariana and I were in Jane's kitchen in the gorgeous countryside of Hereford, drinking a pot of tea, and to say it was amazing would be an understatement!

    This is truly the "sweetest" way to begin our 2nd season!   Mariana creates the most gorgeous, mouthwatering artisan chocolates -- each one is a work of art, an explosion of flavor and made with such love and attention to detail. 

    In this episode, Mariana shares how labor intensive it is to make each chocolate, how she got started, the importance of high quality ingredients, and, Jane and I get to taste some of her incredible creations.  Lucky us!!

    Jane and I are digging deep into the latest TikTok trend......the girl dinner.  Have you heard about it?  It hasn't quite made it's way across the pond to the UK, but it seems like everyone in the US is making girl dinners. 

    Who doesn't love a no cook, snack-y dinner?  Personally, we'd love to rename it.....and we've got a couple of ideas!  Let us know which one  you like the best!

    And while we're chatting about "the girl dinner" we also share our favorite no-cook dinners when we don't feel like cooking.....or when it's already 7:30 and we haven't even started making something. 

    We hope this episode inspires you to get creative and have fun when you're making dinner.......whether it's a "girl dinner", dinner with friends, or weeknight dinner.
