• Antonio Bommarito
    Oct 4 2024

Antonio Bommarito, a native of the Boise Bench, is running for Ada County Highway District (ACHD) Commissioner in District 1. He attended Boise High and graduated from Boise State University with a degree in Business and Information Technology Management. Antonio furthered his education by earning a Master's in Conflict Resolution.

Having deep roots in the community, Antonio is driven by a commitment to improve the quality of life for residents. His candidacy is inspired by personal experiences with increasing traffic congestion in the Boise area. Noticing that his travel time to the capital has more than doubled in recent years despite the neighborhood's minimal changes, Antonio began to investigate the underlying causes. His research revealed that nearly 40% of ACHD's budget is allocated to non-traffic related activities, and that changes to traffic light timings have exacerbated congestion.

Antonio is determined to bring a balanced approach to the commission, prioritizing both safety and efficiency to alleviate the traffic issues plaguing the community. He recognizes that the current commission's decisions have not only increased traffic times but have also led to higher fuel consumption, effectively stealing time and resources from residents. With practical solutions and a focus on getting residents back on the road, Antonio Bommarito is committed to fixing traffic and enhancing the overall traffic flow in District 1.

  • Annette Tipton- Idaho State Legislature
    Sep 27 2024

Hello! My name is Annette Tipton and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to represent Idaho families in LD15 at the Idaho State Legislature. Growing up in Rupert, ID, the lessons and memories of my small farming community are ones I have always valued and cherished. As the granddaughter of Mexican immigrants and the daughter of an Idaho migrant farmworker, my mother’s entrepreneurial spirit, work ethic, and commitment to faith and family inspired me to excellence from an early age. From academics to music, sports competitions, and volunteer work, my upbringing prepared me to serve in ways I never expected.

My career in government relations began with an internship in the office of Senator Mike Crapo in Washington, D.C. I later represented financial institutions such as Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, and CIT Group before the U.S. Congress and White House. My experience spans corporate tax reform, federal elections, and financial policy, which led me to earn a Master’s in International Commerce and Policy. Returning to Idaho, I redirected my talents to healthcare, supporting marginalized communities and leading the Outreach & Enrollment office at Terry Reilly Health Services. My journey came full circle when I met my husband at Boise State University and we settled in West Boise, welcoming our beautiful daughter Theodora “Teddie” in 2021. My role as a wife and mom is my greatest joy and motivation! I am dedicated to preserving Idaho’s legacy and values for our children and future generations. God bless you and your family!
