A state jury heard two different tales of the 49-year-old Troconis as the prosecution and defense made their closing arguments Tuesday in Stamford. The six-member panel was given the case late Tuesday afternoon on charges including conspiracy to commit murder, evidence tampering and hindering prosecution. Troconis has pleaded not guilty.

After three days of testimony, the defense rested their case in the trial of Michelle Troconis. Questions had been circulating about Troconis’ decision to take the stand. Her attorney Jon Schoenhorn made clear throughout the trial, the decision of the defendant to testify is one made in consult with him and his co-council at the end of the defense case. Troconis decided not to testify.
