On the second episode of Jett Road Studios Presents, hosts Will & Amber Becton introduce a pilot for the podcast Genius Revisited, hosted by Rob Kutner and Marlene Sharp. The podcast examines significant historical figures from the world of entertainment, politics, and culture through the modern lens of neurodiversity.
In the pilot episode Rob and Marlene welcome standup comedian Jeremiah Watkins, and autistic entertainment professional Chelsea Darnell, to discuss the legacy of the legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. Kubrick is widely regarded as one of the most important directors in the history of cinema, but his behavior and tactics paint a picture of a complicated man. Was Kubrick's genius related to a condition like autism or ADHD? Or was he neurotypical? That is what is explored in this pilot episode of Genius Revisited.
Rob Kutner is a TV comedy writer and author, who has worked on shows like The Daily Show, and CONAN. Rob also co-produces the standup showcase Let It Out, A Show For Neurodivergent Audiences at The Laugh Factory.
Marlene Sharp works with groups like Autism In Entertainment, and Spectrum Laboratory to help autistic adults succeed in the world of entertainment.
