It's an exciting week for the entire Team MOW family as the show returns to the airwaves as well as continuing here on the podcast feed!

Join Mike McGuire for the weekly look back at current events in professional wrestling, from the smallest independent promotions to the biggest around the world!

This week, Mike gives you the headlines, and along with The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, we look at the state of both WWE and AEW's rosters as the injury list gets bigger and bigger for both sides - although one company is definitely suffering more because of it.

Also, are all the hints on WWE programming leading to the return of Uncle Howdy at WWE's King and Queen of the Ring PLE this Saturday? Why is a healthy, recent tag team champion being replaced and benched off of AEW TV? Does WWE have a chance to get themselves out of the Vince McMahon/Janel Grant lawsuit? Plus from The Alternate Commentary Table, Mitch Hontzias and Dimitri Korolis join Mike live in studio to run down the two massive PPV/PLE cards as we know them to date.

Plus, you can now hear McGuire on Wrestling on the radio! The show airs before Monday Night Raw, every Monday afternoon at 4PM MT/3PM PT/6PM ET! If in Southern Alberta, listen at 88.3 CKXU FM, or online at www.ckxu.com!

    - New Wrestlers Need Veteran Support

    - Nick Aldis is the General Manager we need?

    - Thoughts on the "new" Damian Priest

    - Random memories of Rocco the Ventriloquism Mannequin

  • MOW Ep. 54 - Title for Title: Rhodes v. Paul? Kingston Injury Scare, Billington Explodes on Collision, AEW Edmonton, Becky Lynch and Kevin Owens Contracts, Meltzer Responds to Kenny Omega and More!
    May 13 2024

Back from a trip with Canada's Wrestling Elite as part of their Cross-Canada Tour, Mike McGuire catches you up on some of the latest breaking and biggest stories in the week of professional wrestling.

In a bit of a surprise move, WWE has all but announced that Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul could be unifying, or at least dually-representing the WWE and United States championship in a Winner-Take-All Match at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.

Speaking of that tournament, we have the latest results for you from the matches that happened at a pair of non-televised events this past weekend.

Dave Meltzer joins the show to discuss a variety of topics including the possible title unification as well as:

    - Kenny Omega's latest comments regarding Dave's "star ratings"

    - The continuing stack of injuries plaguing pro wrestling

    - The new "big money" angle in WWE

    - Swerve Strickland playing second fiddle, even though he is AEW Champion

    - Dana White's comments about WWE, UFC, and POWER SLAP combining for weekend events

    - and much more!

Also, Mike and Dave talk about the explosive performance "Dynamite Kid" Tommy Billington, nephew of The Dynamite Kid from the 80's had on AEW Collision against Dax "The Ax" Harwood.

We then head to Edmonton, Alberta - home of this past week's AEW Dynamite, where a couple of listeners bring their voices to the show to talk about their experiences this time around, and Mike shares a bit of his experience with the CWE crew and gives you a taste of what touring wrestlers have to deal with.
