absolutely love it

I absolutely love this podcast, the story is exciting and interesting. I wish there were more episodes of this story or that there will be more podcast stories from Nikolaj and the team at Ill Kippers Productions.

What a WONDERFUL, MAGNETIC job!

I learned about this podcast months ago thanks to Nikolaj (who's my favorite actor) and I couldn't wait to listen to it. What a WONDERFUL, MAGNETIC job, the more you listen to it the more you would go on listening, 10 episodes flew by.
Everything is perfect, it seems to be listening to a movie, the altmosphere, the details, the background noises, the soundtrack make everything literally a world to discover. The story itself is very well written and developed, between flashbacks and twists, the narration leads you to have some suspicions, then others and then others more, then doubts, then plot twists, then confirmations, and then more doubts and then... WOW. Listen to it and you will understand what I'm talking about.

EVERYONE's vocal performances are EXTRAORDINARY, Nikolaj's voice is perfect for a job like this and above all for this role, you can FEEL his acting skills just listening to him with closed eyes, as a fan of him I am really ecstatic. Although my mother tongue is not English, I was able to understand most of the story without problems, perhaps I did not fully understand some accents, but the listening was still very pleasant. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. CONGRATULATIONS to everyone involved in this magnificent podcast.

Really enjoyed it

I had a 10 hour drive in two halves today and listened to the whole thing, which made the drive much easier. The story was interesting and based on a true story, though dramatised and fictionalised

As I was in the car it was easy enough for me to raise and lower the volume as needed and just as well because in parts the background music and sound effects were ridiculously loud. A couple of times characters were talking with birds twittering in the background and even they were so loud I had to really concentrate to catch the dialogue. I don’t know why creators do this - surely they can hear this is not a good addition to the overall story

That aside though it was good. The characters seemed to have different accents when they were the younger versions of themselves which got a bit confusing and amusing but otherwise I really enjoyed it and it had enough hints and red herrings to keep me guessing

Great plot

Thought it was very well put together piece of drama, however I am sure I must have missed a bit of the story of why Chas seemed to have a definite non -Yorkshire accent, dare I even say slightly European at times, especially when his teenage Chaz did speak with a Yorkshire accent. This did kind of put me off. Apart from that well done.

An absolutely addictive series

I love to read, but have never listened to an audio book, radio play, or podcast, so RADIOMAN was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The soundscape is so layered and immersive, and the voice acting is so well done, I felt like I was IN the story, hearing what was going on around me from all sides. It paints such vivid mental pictures, and it’s clear that it was a meticulously (well) crafted, high quality production.

The episodes flew by and the storyline is so gripping that I found myself up until four in the morning because I couldn’t stop listening! I watch a lot of true crime shows and can usually figure out “Whodunnit,” but I can honestly say that RADIOMAN had me guessing until the very end.

It was so enjoyable, infact, that I’ve decided to purchase an Audible membership (after listening to RADIOMAN with a free trial) in hopes of finding other stories like it, or better yet, that ILL KIPPERS will produce more content in this space in the future. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Joe Derrick are truly masters at work.

This podcast is addictive!

Becoming an expert of Northern accents!

Great podcast beautifully written by Joe Derrick! Brilliant alternation between the investigation line and personal storylines.
The original story was already great to start with but I also think all the subplots created keep the narration even more appealing and reletable to everyone. All the family dynamics are so on point and add to the story a pleasant genuineness.

Also, the atmoshpere of the place? Wow, it’s so tangible, the writing combined with the audio effects created such an intriguing world.
Two words about the Audio editing, sounds are crazy, so vivid and evocative. I suggest you to listen to it with headphones!
The cast is amazing, Nikolaj in particular! The performances are raw and intense!
Great job!

Simply phenomenal

So incredibly well put together, it's literally like you're listening to a film. It keeps you guessing right up to the end and I don't think I've ever been more invested in a story. You can tell how much time and thought has gone into every aspect of this series, from the writing to the soundtrack and beyond and it makes for thoroughly immersive listening. And of course, its wonderful to hear Northern England as the centrepiece for the story. Excellent work by all involved!

Worth a listen but slightly too much going on

Definitely agree with others listeners that there was too much going on in this story, too many noises, not clear when it was jumping from one scene to another.
I never felt a had a true grasp on what was going on, it was a shame as I enjoyed the acting.
I didn't expect the ending, but still confused over aspects of the story.
It didn't need all the extra music and sounds going on. Felt over produced
