• November 24, 2024 Sermon - Be Ready: Watching For The Return Of The King
    Nov 22 2024

    This Sunday's Inspirational Message is:

Be Ready: Watching For the Return Of The King

I’m Pastor Warren Swanson, and I’m thrilled to journey with you today through Mark 13:24-37 - a passage that calls us to readiness for the glorious return of Christ. This text is the culmination of Jesus’ Olivet Discourse, where He outlines the events leading to the end of the age.

Last week, we studied Mark 13:1-13, where Jesus warned His disciples about the coming tribulations - wars, persecution, and false prophets. These were not signs of the immediate end but reminders to stay grounded in faith.

Today, we’ll see the dramatic shift to the moment of His return and our charge to remain alert and faithful.

We will seek to answer the questions:

    1. What does it mean to watch for Christ?
    2. How do we balance daily life with eternal readiness?

These questions shape our sermon today.

    Nov 15 2024

    This Sunday's Inspirational Message is:

    Faithful Endurance In Troubled Times

In Mark 13:1-13, Jesus shares a powerful and sobering message about the trials and tribulations that will come in this world.

He speaks of earthquakes, wars, persecution, and betrayal — warning His followers to be on guard while encouraging them to stay faithful.

For us today, these words challenge us to ask: are we preparing our hearts and minds for times of trial? Jesus calls His followers to stay alert, grounded in truth, and to persevere in faith.

In this message, we’ll explore what it means to be watchful, deepen our spiritual endurance, and respond faithfully, even when life shakes us to our core.

This passage isn’t just about predicting events; it’s about aligning our lives with God’s kingdom and standing firm when faith is tested. Join us as we explore how Mark 13 calls us to be vigilant, steady, and hopeful, trusting in God's promises.

  • November 10, 2024 Sermon - The Gift That Counts
    Nov 8 2024

    This Sunday's Inspirational Message is:

    The Gift That Counts

The widow’s offering teaches us powerful truths about what God values in our giving. It shows that God looks at our motives, values our willingness to sacrifice, and cherishes a heart devoted to His kingdom. Her gift was small in the world’s eyes but immense in God’s because it came from a pure and trusting heart.

Let’s reflect on these three lessons:

    1. Give with pure motives-focus on honoring God, not impressing others.
    2. Embrace sacrificial giving-surrender what you have, trusting God will provide.
    3. Cultivate a heart for God’s kingdom-prioritize His work over our own desires.

Jesus invites us to live generously, not from our abundance alone, but from a spirit of faith and love for Him. May we be inspired by this widow’s example, following her lead to give wholeheartedly to our Lord.

  • November 3, 2024 Sermon - Recovering From Failure
    Nov 1 2024

    This Sunday's Inspirational Message is:

    Recovering From Failure

Today’s message is part of the life of Jonah. In Jonah chapter 2 verse 1 through chapter 3 verse 3, we see Jonah in a place where many of us have been before - feeling lost, guilty, and broken. But God doesn’t leave Jonah in the depths of that failure, and He won’t leave us there either.

We’ll talk about how God rescues us from our mistakes, offers us grace when we don’t deserve it, and sets us back on His path with new purpose.

So, if you’ve ever felt like you’ve let God down or gone too far off course, this message is for you.

Today’s sermon, titled “Recovering From Failure,” reminds us that there’s hope, there’s healing, and there’s a second chance waiting for each of us.

    Living With A Biblical Worldview

Have you ever wondered why so many Christians struggle to align their lives with God’s truth?

Or why, in the midst of a culture bombarding us with ideas and opinions, it’s so easy to lose focus on what’s truly important? Well, it all comes down to the lens we’re using to view the world. In this episode, we’ll define what a worldview really is, break down the reasons why so many Christians don’t have a biblical perspective, and explore how Scripture calls us to live differently. We’ll also look at practical steps you can take to shift your mindset toward God’s truth.

  • October 20, 2024 Sermon - A Life of Purity
    Oct 18 2024

    This Sunday's Inspirational Message is:

    A Life of Purity

The preaching goal for this message is for you to fully understand the following:

    1. You Are To Guard Your Heart with God’s Word

I want to encourage you to make a daily commitment to immerse yourself in Scripture. I want to show you that God’s Word isn’t just information but a safeguard for your hearts, protecting you from sin and temptation. By treasuring God’s Word in your hearts, you will be equipped to walk in purity.

    2. You Are To Seek God Wholeheartedly

I want to challenge you to pursue God with all your heart. This means not just casually reading the Bible or attending church, but seeking God as a priority in your lives. I want to encourage you to live with intentionality, knowing that the more you seek God, the less room there is for wandering into sin.

    3. That True Joy Is Found In Living Out God’s Truth

I want to inspire you to find delight in God’s commandments, not as restrictive rules, but as a source of joy and freedom. I want to help you see that meditating on and obeying God’s Word leads to true fulfillment that is greater than anything the world can offer. The more you align your lives with His Word, the more you’ll experience lasting joy and peace.

  • October 13, 2024 Sermon - Walking In Faithfulness
    Oct 11 2024

    This Sunday's Inspirational Message is:

    Walking In Faithfulness

Faithfulness is not just a one-time act; it is a daily choice to trust and obey God in every circumstance. It begins with the small, unseen tasks of life, continues through the trials we face, and leads ultimately to the eternal reward God has promised us. We are called to be faithful because God is forever faithful to us. His promises never fail, and His love never wavers. As you go forth from this place, remember that your faithfulness—whether in small acts of service or enduring through hardship—matters to God. He sees you, He is with you, and He will reward you. Let us live each day with the confidence that our faithfulness is anchored in God’s unchanging character and His eternal promises.

  • October 6, 2024 Sermon - You’ve Got the Joy and Peace … or Do You?”
    Oct 4 2024

    This Sunday's Inspirational Message is:

You've Got The Joy and Peace...or Do You?

Here are three key takeaways from this expository sermon based on John 15:1-11 and Galatians 5:22-23.

    1. Joy and peace are fruits of the Spirit, not dependent on circumstances. True joy and peace come from abiding in Christ, not from external situations or temporary happiness. As we remain connected to Him, we experience His constant presence and provision, regardless of life's challenges.

    2. Self-centeredness and disobedience block the flow of joy and peace. Focusing on ourselves or rebelling against God's will leads to frustration, anger, and a lack of fulfillment. Joy and peace are found in surrendering to God's purposes and walking in obedience to His commands.

    3. Joy and peace grow through abiding in Christ and exposure to His Word. As we abide in Christ and immerse ourselves in Scripture, our hearts are filled with His love, and we experience the fullness of joy and peace. Prayer, obedience, and bearing fruit for His Kingdom deepen our sense of fulfillment in Him.
