    (PART 2 of 2) My name is Hope Alexander and I am a transgender adult woman. I came out as trans at the age of 49, married with adult kids. I had the opportunity to interview my parents just under 2 years later. My dad, Douglas, passed away 5 months after recording the interview, so this remastered audio is in his memory. I was so blessed to be loved by both of my parents, and as you can imagine, even more to have had the opportunity to talk with both of my parents candidly, before my dad's passing. My hope is that this will help trans people, as well as parents and other friends and family members of trans people to begin a path towards understanding, healing and acceptance.
