  • Day 317 | Death of Ezekiel's Wife | Hebrews 11: Faith that pleases God
    Nov 13 2023

Day 317 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Ezekiel 24-25 is about two messages from God. In Chapter 24, God tells a story about a cooking pot to show the people of Jerusalem that tough times are coming because they haven't been living right. It's a warning and also a sad prophecy about the city being attacked. In Chapter 25, God speaks about other places like Ammon, Moab, Edom, and Philistia. He's not happy with them either because they were mean to His people. These chapters remind us that actions have consequences and it's important to live in ways that are kind and respectful to others. Hebrews 11:17-40 continues talking about faith, using examples of people from the Old Testament. It mentions Abraham's faith when he almost had to sacrifice Isaac, and how Moses chose to be with God's people instead of enjoying a royal life in Egypt. The passage also talks about other faithful people who faced really hard times, like being in prison or being hurt, because they believed in God. It shows that having faith can sometimes be tough, but it's worth it because of the promise of a better future with God.

  • Day 316 | Judgment against Oholah and Oholibah | Hebrews 11: What is Faith
    Nov 13 2024

Day 316 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Ezekiel 22:23-23 tells about how God was unhappy with the people of Jerusalem and Samaria because they weren't living right. He compared them to two sisters who didn't follow God's ways. This part of the Bible is a bit like a story showing how important it is to stay true to what God teaches and not forget about Him. Hebrews 11:1-16 talks about faith. It says faith is like believing in things we can't see. The passage tells stories of people from the Bible, like Noah and Abraham, who trusted God even when things were tough or didn't make sense. It teaches us that having faith means trusting God and his promises, even when we don't understand everything.

  • Day 315 | Babylon is the sword against Jerusalem | Hebrews 10: Stay close to Christ
    Nov 11 2023

Day 315 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Ezekiel 20:45 to 22:22, God tells Ezekiel to give a warning message. He uses images like a forest on fire to describe how He will punish bad behavior and injustice in Israel. Then, Ezekiel talks about Jerusalem as a city where people don't follow God's rules, acting unfairly and hurting others. God says He will clean up the city by removing the bad like a refiner removes impurities from metal. This part of the Bible teaches about God's fairness and how He wants people to live rightly and justly. In Hebrews 10:19-39, the message is about having faith and staying strong. It starts by reminding us that because of Jesus, we can be close to God. We're encouraged to hold on to our faith, even when it's tough, and to support each other in following God. The writer warns against turning away from God after knowing the truth, emphasizing that faith will be rewarded. It ends by saying that we need to be patient and keep believing because God keeps His promises. This passage teaches the importance of faith, patience, and encouraging each other in our journey with God.
