  • Please note: contains strong language and adult content.

It’s 2041. The Earth is under the control of the benevolent ‘Corporation’ and time travel is not only possible but affordable for the common worker drone - sorry, person! Free with the purchase of the Timeslide 9000 machine, The Time Traveller’s Guide to Not Dying is an audio instruction manual designed to help owners choose which exciting historical moments to visit. It teaches them about where they’re going, who they will meet, and what to eat. As part of his parole agreement, Charlie Pickering anchors the guide, using his encyclopedic brain to fill us in on the places that time travel correspondents, Natasha and Toby, find themselves dispatched to. Between them, the pair of intrepid reporters storm the barricades at the French Revolution, get chatted up by JFK during the Cold War, and tried as a witch at Salem. Along the way, they try really hard to not get killed.

Written by Charlie Pickering, James Colley, Rob Hunter and Cait Johnson. Produced by Guesswork Television.

Performed by Charlie Pickering, Frank Woodley, Claire Hooper, Aleisha McCormack, Damien Fotiou, Odette Joannidis, Adam Crouch, Wendy Bos, Tony Briggs, Danny McGinlay, Xavier Michaelides and Karla Arnall.

absolutely brilliant

Horrible Histories with a touch of Beef and Dairy - very funny, quite informative and very enjoyable.
I wish Audible would have more of the same format.
Would certainly recommend.

Funny but…….

I picked this audible original series as it was free in the plus catalogue and had 5 star reviews.

Whilst it was amusing, some of the writing and delivery came across as trying too hard. And over acting.

I am no historian, but there were a few blunders and inaccuracies in the historical events.

I personally feel like the writer and actors friends have hyped the reviews, but may be I am just cynical.

Hilarious

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this series. Its not really going to teach you too much about history but it was a great laugh! Hope they make more like this.

Irritating

Not for me. If you enjoy mindless pseudo humour then you will probably enjoy this.
