    Police Officer Jillian Michelle Smith - Killed Protecting an 11-year-old. Jillian Michelle Smith served as a Police Officer with the Arlington Police Department in Texas. Tragically, on December 28, 2010, she was killed while at a domestic dispute call.

    The Arlington Police Department disclosed that Officer Jillian Michelle Smith, 24 years old at the time, was shot and killed on the evening of Tuesday, December 28, 2010. She was attempting to protect an 11-year-old child during a triple shooting incident at the Arbrook Park Apartment Complex. The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m., following a domestic assault call.

    She was struck by a bullet and succumbed to her injuries. Subsequently, Nettles shot Carter, his ex-girlfriend, in a bedroom, while the 11-year-old child managed to escape to a neighboring apartment unit.

    Despite being a rookie with the Arlington Police Department, Officer Jillian Michelle Smith displayed bravery and dedication to her duty. Officer Smith completed her training at the Arlington Police Academy in February of that year and had just finished her field training on December 13, a mere 15 days before the tragic incident.

    Police Chief Justin Clark McIntire, Protector of the Community Gunned Down. 

    On January 2nd, 2023, tragedy struck as Chief McIntire was involved in a foot pursuit of a wanted subject. This individual, wanted for a probation violation involving weapons, had eluded the Pennsylvania State Police during a traffic stop the previous night. The pursuit led officers through Harrison Township, eventually reaching the border of Brackenridge Borough and Tarentum Borough.

    The intense two hour foot chase came to a devastating end in the 800 block of 3rd Avenue, where the suspect opened fire, fatally shooting Chief McIntire and injuring a Tarentum Borough Police officer. The assailant, after the heinous act, carjacked a vehicle, fleeing into the city of Pittsburgh.

    But the pursuit did not end there. In a wooded area, the suspect engaged in a final confrontation with law enforcement, leading to his demise. The cost of this tragedy was high, with Chief McIntire paying the ultimate price for his unwavering commitment to protecting his community.

    Chief Justin Clark McIntire's legacy lives on through the memories of those who knew and loved him. He served with honor, courage, and dedication for 22 years, leaving behind a grieving wife, two sons, a daughter, and a stepson.

    Lena Nicole Marshall - Deputy Sheriff Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Ga. She was a dedicated law enforcement officer whose life was tragically cut short when she was shot and killed.

    Lena Nicole Marshall, affectionately known as Nicole, served as a Deputy Sheriff for the Jackson County Sheriff's Office in Georgia. Her journey in law enforcement spanned various roles, having previously worked with the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, Habersham Sheriff's Office, Winder Police Department, and the Helen Police Department.

    Nicole wasn't just a courageous officer; she was a loving mother and friend. Unfortunately, her story took a heartbreaking turn when, on November 8, 2021, she was shot and killed by a criminal. The pain deepened as it was revealed that she had previously lost a son on the same date as her untimely passing.

    Deputy Sheriff Lena Nicole Marshall was a True Crime Fighter.

    Police Officer Charles Edward Cassidy, had a nickname of Chuck, and had served with the Philadelphia Police Department for 25 years. He is survived by his wife and three children.

    Police Officer Vincent J. Adolfo was shot and killed in Iron Alley, while he was attempting to arrest a man who had fled from a stolen vehicle. Police Officer Vincent Adolfo, his killer should have been behind bars instead of the streets.

    When Police Officer Adolfo caught up to the suspect in the Alley, the man pretended to give up. When Police Officer Vincent Adolfo approached him the suspect drew a .357 caliber handgun and opened fire, striking him in the chest and back. At the time the Baltimore Police Department issued vests that only contained a front panel.

    The suspect was convicted and executed for the murder in 1997.

    Police Officer Vincent J. Adolfo had served with the Baltimore City Police Department for two years. He was survived by his wife.

  • The heroic undercover police detective's murder was caught on tape.

    Baltimore Police Detective Marcellus "Marty" Ward was shot and killed as he and other police officers and a DEA agent attempted to arrest a heroin dealer. Detective Ward had been working on scene in an undercover capacity purchasing Heroin from the suspect. The heroic undercover police detective's murder was caught on tape.

    During the undercover investigation Detective Ward made a heroic decision to try to ensure the safety of his backup officers which put him in harms way.

    Detective Ward had served with the Baltimore City Police Department for 13 years and was assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration's Baltimore District Office Task Force.
