CFRC’s spin on the Orson Welles classic! Our take on the classic piece of radio theatre, “War of the Worlds” — originally aired on CFRC 101.9 FM on October 30, 2018 in Kingston, Ontario.

To share medically-backed research to help us overcome obstacles preventing us from living happy, healthy lifestyles, and improve our relationships with ourselves, each other, and Mother Earth. This podcast will help listeners to find peace of mind, gain knowledge on healthy practices for all aspects of health, and expand their perception of life. It will include a commentary on historical events that have shaped our world, such as colonisation and give new perspectives on how we can move forward as a collective group, respecting each other’s differences.

Shortwave Theatre Festival is a series of original radio theatre performances written, directed, performed, and produced by local artists in Kingston, Ontario. It first broadcasted on CFRC’s airwaves the week of November 1st-7th 2020. Funded by the City of Kingston Arts Council and Ontario Arts Council, the Festival also enjoys support from the Dan School of Drama and Music and the Robert H. The Scholars at Risk Queen’s Committee provides a forum to discuss and coordinate Scholars at Risk (SAR) activities and initiatives across Queen’s University campus. The committee was struck in 2019 and works closely with the Scholars at Risk (SAR) network and other organizations dedicated to protecting threatened scholars worldwide.
