Author of the best-selling Inspector McLean series and the Ballad of Sir Benfro series, James Oswald is back with a brand-new book, No Time to Cry, published in July 2018. James Oswald talks to us about what inspired his new lead character, playing detective while he’s writing and how eye-opening it was to write a female protagonist.

Goldsmith was the first female - and only ever woman of colour - to be elected to the University of Leicester students' union. She founded Anona Development Consultancy in 1995, for which she works as an energiser, motivator and strategist in the not-for-profit sector. Goldsmith has worked with more than 100 different groups and organisations over five continents.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Oscar Duke, a doctor working for the NHS who regularly contributes to The Surgery on BBC Radio 1, has appeared on Channel 4's 24 Hours in A&E, and presented his own documentary about albinism for BBC2, Born Too White.
