Young Erasmus Cromwell-Smith II's adventure happens inside of Prague's astrological clock. Together with a band of five other harlequin dressed youngsters, he experiences a city filled with wizards, enchanters, witches, conjurers, and evil gargoyles. The youngsters seek clues in order to reach the mysterious Hradcany' Castle. They are guided on their quest by The Orloj, the old clock as well as Buggie and Thumbpee his sons.

Nicolas Tosh is a math prodigy. In the late 70s, he develops a series of discrete algorithms that enable seamless communications "to" and "from" the brain. "Thoughts" replace voices as a communication medium, the brain's memory banks become easily downloadable, and every "live" thought, image, and sound can be captured through Tosh's mathematical constructs. To ensure neutrality and a safe haven for his operations, he builds a data center in Zermatt, Switzerland to host a global neural network and a state-of-the-art quantum computer....

Das Lob der Narrheit, seine berühmte Redeübung, die zuerst anno 1511 in Paris gedruckt wurde, ist mittlerweile fünfhundert Jahre hindurch sowohl lateinisch wie auch in anderen Sprachen immer wieder neu aufgelegt worden, fehlte nie in den Buchhandlungen.

Eine hundert Seiten lange Rede. Die Narrheit in Person hält über sich und den Rest der Welt einen Vortrag. Dieses Werk aus dem Jahre 1509, begründet eine Union der Narren und Dummies. Erasmus' Sprachspiele, seine Späße, die Seitenhiebe auf die Zeitgenossen sind zeitlos gut.

Erasmus von Rotterdam (1466-1536) war Theologe, Priester, Philologe und Autor mehrerer Werke. Er schrieb lateinisch und griechisch. Dieses Hörbuch enthält den Lesung "Das Lob der Torheit" (Sprecher: Ernst August Schepmann, Übersetzer: Heinrich Hersch, Regie: Robert Haupt, Erstsendung: 22.06.1969), den Dialog "Welt im Umbruch": ein Gespräch zwischen Luther (Sprecher: Peter Lieck) und Erasmus (Sprecher: Friedrich von Bülow), das sinnähnlich in Briefen geführt wurde (Erstsendung: 01.11.1983) sowie die Lesungen "Heuchelei" (Sprecherin: Dorothee Roth, Erstsendung: 13.11.1983).
