In junior high, I was that kid. You know the one. The one that was somehow always on the outside looking in. The one who never understood why people made it their life goal to find everything that was wrong with me. I was that kid that kids picked on to fit in with other kids. Somehow, that all changed when I moved to a different school and discovered my hardened personality and inability to trust anyone made me mysterious and cool to people who didn't previously know me.

I know there is more to Kross than most people see. I mean, it's not like I've been stalking the guy, but I may or may not have happened by all the places my hand-to-hand combat instructor goes. I might possibly have watched as he played with the kids at the daycare and helped at the animal shelter in his free time.

Casey has always been pretty lucky in life. Great dads, great cousins, great friends...Ricki. Where Casey went, Ricki was there. Where Ricki went, Casey was there. They work together, live together, and when Casey comes up with something crazy, Ricki is right there to make sure things don't blow up. Both have had relationships, but nothing that really stuck, since past boyfriends always seemed to get jealous of how much time they spent together.

At 47, I'm too old to be saddled with a toddler, no matter how stinkin' cute he is, though if anyone tried to take him away, I'd commit murder. And I'm definitely too old to be staring longingly at anyone like a lovesick moron, but especially the 23-about-to-turn 24-year-old nanny I've somehow acquired to take care of him. Every little thing he does, no matter how innocent, sends my mind into overdrive, and I have to run off to my friends to question if I'm overreacting or not.

My Da wants to marry all his boys off, and he wants those grandbabies! But I'm almost debilitatingly shy around omegas - aside from my brother's boyfriends - to the point of really just not even wanting to try. Why be that uncomfortable, right? The problem is, I crave hugs and cuddling. I know it's probably not normal, especially given how shy I am, but I need them. So, I hire a cuddling service...and meet the omega of my dreams.
