While Slater and the LA team head to the bug-out house in San Rafael, they do so knowing that the road ahead is fraught with peril. Population Zero has agreed to give them what they want, but only so she can make matters worse. In this promise, PZ does not disappoint, and all hell breaks loose as a result. When Elijah splits from the team to take care of his mother, he unknowingly attracts the worst of all enemies: the one he doesn’t see, not until it’s too late.

The Chicom/SAA war is ravaging California, turning the once beautiful state into a West Coast wasteland. With the surge into Oregon and Washington underway, only small pockets of Resistance survive. Logan, Skylar, Harper, Ryker and the Madigan family make up one of those pockets. While the Resistance in Five Falls prepares to hold their ground at all costs, a much larger army is headed their way, one that will make the Chicoms look tame by comparison.

The Five Falls survivors lost nearly everything in the Chicom and SAA assaults, but they haven’t lost their will to live, their determination to take their country back or the fighting spirit needed to do both. The war won’t unfold the way you think. Hardened warriors like Logan, Skylar, and Riker have endured the worst, and now they’re putting everything on the line to take their country back.
