New York, 1800. Three brutal murders. One impossible killer.

The police have fingered David Stirling for the crimes, but Lord Muc—feared gang leader in the Five Points—doesn't believe a word of it, and sets out to prove the young man's innocence.

When Stirling is abducted from Muc's care by the father of one of the victim's seeking revenge, Muc has only three days to get to the bottom of the case, or Stirling will be killed.

To add to his woes, Muc finds a suspected assassin on his own trail, and the investigation will lead deep into the turf of his bitterest rival gangs.
