This is not a love story, though I’d very much wished it was instead of the messed up chaos my life turned into.

Funnily, it all started with him - Muriel. The one who made me feel safe, who seemed to protect me against the shadows only I could see. The only one who never gave up because I was different. But the thing is, I didn’t know him like I thought. At least, not enough to have decided he was a safe place to hold close to me.

I lived in my very personal hell on a regular basis, fearing things I couldn't understand and other people couldn't see, tired of the world as it was.

I was not ready for more challenges, nor anything else that came my way, but he had been there before so I trusted him.

And that was my first mistake.

I didn't realize things were not really just black and white until it was too late.
