The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Summary

This fantastical story chronicles the adventures of a young farm girl named Dorothy in the magical Land of Oz, after she, her pet dog Toto, and her home are all swept away from Kansas by a tornado. To get back to her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry in Kansas, she must follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City to ask the Wonderful Wizard for help, something she couldn't do without the help of the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion, and several other friends she meets along the way.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is an American children's novel written by L. Frank Baum, originally published in 1900.
