The Camera Series

A camera, tainted with ancient, evil blood, is purchased by Detective Jack Hunger, who just wants to document his career as a crime scene photographer. He sets up his own darkroom at home, but when he develops the photograph of his first murder victim, something bizarre happens.

Some say that true evil never dies, it merely lies dormant, awaiting the next opportunity to rise from its dark lair and visit itself upon humankind again. Jack Hunger, a cop in Lee County, Florida, never gave it much thought. He purchased the 20-year-old Pentax K1000 camera at a perfectly respectable thrift store, and it was to be the beginning of a new hobby for the reclusive crime scene photographer.

The camera has a dark past. The evil that seeped into its mechanisms manifests itself in ways only Jack Hunger and Wayne Olsen can understand. But that's only because they're familiar with the darkness, and how to fight it. Others who encounter its subjects haven't a clue what they are about to face.

People - lots of them - are going missing on the island nation of Aruba. Jack Hunger has a funny feeling it’s not by natural causes. Fearing the worst, he and Wayne Olsen must hop a flight from south Florida to the Caribbean to find out the truth. Allyson Hayes and Chad Steiner were set loose on the promise they had become human, again; that they no longer required or desired human flesh to live.
